Nice tutorials. However, as a seasoned Minecraft player I found your lack of terror and paranoia when the sun goes down terribly unsettling. There were a few points, especially in the first video where I didn't want to keep watching because I kept expecting a monster to murder you while you were explaining game mechanics.
Trust me, I'm just putting on my "brave voice" for the audience. If you could see my face.... I'm just a scared little
Good work on these videos, you have a knack for them. You do a good job of covering all the information about the topics and narrate everything fluidly. Additionally, you have a voice that's quite pleasant to listen to, which I hope doesn't sound too weird.
Thanks, flattery will get you everywhere. :smile.gif: Seriously though, it's these kind words that spurred me to continue and I'm just glad there's a handful of people out there enjoying the videos and learning about Notch's incredible game.
You should do 1 on traps/base defenses. Working with cacti fences and stuff like that
I'm a terrible builder! I have little patience or imagination for it. I much prefer the adventure and exploration and survival aspects of Minecraft but we'll see...I may do a video or two on basic home-building, like maybe a shack in the woods. Oh and definitely want to do one on boat building and then taking the boat out for a loooong, 2 hour tour... :smile.gif:
*blush* Awww. I can't agree or disagree because they say when you listen to your own voice it's not what others hear so...I'll just take your word for it. :smile.gif:
Well I was having a really hard time my first couple nights, kept restarting but then I watched your first couple vids (watched all of them now) And I'm doing great! Have a mine that goes really far down, and made stairs that goes to a hole that leads to nothing, (literally) and if you fall in it you die 0_0.
You should make some videos on mining and finding and defeating a dungeon. :biggrin.gif:
I have to agree with a few couple posts I've seen here and through Youtube, you have a very soothing, sexy voice. Made me wanna watch all four of your videos, despite I'm no longer a newbie to Minecraft! [/groupie]
I'm having a really hard time not letting the flattery go to my head! j/k
As for the tutorials, I liked them a lot. Some people are saying you are/were slow and you could have done a lot more, but hey, try and speak and explain things as clearly and good as Remmi did, AND build your incredibly complex first night castle, see how that goes for you smartie smarts.
Yeah, take that, you smarties! Heh. Thing is, I'm too lazy to write a script so I'm just winging it during the recordings, trying to come up with useful info while talking, moving and digging and stuff. It's harder than it seems.
5 out of 5 Diamond blocks from me Mr., and you should definitely do more videos, perhaps how to make your own bread, which is better than raw pork, and it's easy to make! Plus exploits another area of Minecraft which a lot of players love, and that is to build gardens for their awesomesauce houses.
Aye. I'm thinking a garden with different size shubbery (for the level effect) and a path running down the middle....a path path!

I subbed just because of the first one
You encourged me to go to normal from wussy mode but I want a cave/dungeon guide so that I can tackle those too
You can't really make a 'guide' on caves/dungeons, because they're all different. But he could list essentials and such.
I'll give you a tip on dungeons: PUT IT ON ****ING PEACEFUL.
There you go.:smile.gif:

I shall be leashing it, and taking it for a walk across someone's crops. If they glassed the top, I shall destroy, and then walk.

Minecraft is a game about placing blocks while running from skeletons...
Remove hostile mobs from the equation and, well, you'd be better off playing creative mode instead of Alpha.
As for the Treasure hunting idea, +1 from me :biggrin.gif:
Sir, if you didn't notice.. I said dungeons.
Have you found a dungeon?
Trying to contain one while getting mauled by zombies (or something of a dangerous sort) isn't exactly "easy."

With dungeons I prefer to play it like Thief (stealth) rather than Diablo (hack-n-slash). Playing it Diablo-style is asking for a beating...over and over.

Yup, planning on doing one today on monsters and basic combat. Just hope the monsters cooperate better than the cows did in Part 3!
