The stupidest thing I've done would either be digging straight down (After I had found 6 diamond blocks) to try to find more, and falling into the void >.<
Or when i was making a checkered lobby for my Mountain complex, the lobby was a REALLY large room. And I just finished placing all the smooth stone and string blocks to make my checkered floor when I thought it would be a good idea to make a lava Fountain.
I didn't even think about String blocks being flammable D:
Went for a "quick" walk to the ocean to grab some sand. Went too far left, missed the ocean, and got completely lost. I had a mostly full inventory with my only diamond tools, and various other tools. After 24 minecraft days I died to a creeper. I have searched for the base I built on that expedition several times, but have been unable to locate it.
I stored lava in my small wodden hut, then went mining for the day.
bahahaha, at least it was a small wooden hut, and not a massive base
True....
...But it was my home. :sad.gif:
Reminds me when I got invaded by creepers
I left my entrance open and I was just a little inside my mountain smelting and four creepers must have followed me inside. Cause all of a sudden I hear "Ssssssssss" *Boom*
Went exploring until sunset and took refuge in a natural cave. Thought while I was waiting for the sun to come up I'd do a bit of spelunking. I had a diamond sword after all... what could go wrong, right? WRONG!
That cave went on forever, and somewhere in the deeps, after I laid my last of a full stack of torches, I got ambushed by a spider. It was then I realized that the diamond sword is awesome... but no armor is still a problem. Since I was ambushed I was low on health and decided this had been a horrible idea. I turned to head to the surface and walked straight into a creeper, who happily painted the cave walls red with my insides.
Now here's where the stupid part starts (see what I did there? :biggrin.gif:). I respawned only to realize I didn't have the slightest clue where I had even started the spelunking. After some quick cartograph generations, I narrowed it down. Traveled through the night back to the cave, taking some damage along the way from skeletons. After what seemed forever I navigated back to the spot of my death only to realize my inventory was nowhere to be found. Started wandering around the semi-dark room figuring it had just been blown a good distance and OOPS! Fell down a pit and just barely survived.
So there I was... fallen down a decent sized hole, not a tile of dirt in site, nearly pitch black, a single heart of health, and NOTHING IN MY INVENTORY.
I found a dungeon in a cave and thought the mob spawner was a fireplace so i sat there, and i was overwhelmed i had 3 diamond tools also, after i learned what it did, i tried to pick it up by picking it and i uhh broke it....

While mining ran into top of a lava cave, started edging out to build bridge over top of it fell in, full set of iron armor diamond sword lots of iron tools.( iron is still kinda precious for me)
I'd just finished building a large five story pagoda out of wood and thought I'd make a nice fire pit for the ground floor. I planned to encase it in glass so it wouldn't set anything on fire. So I lit the logs, surrounded it on the sides in glass and stepped back to admire my handiwork when I noticed the fatal flaw in my cunning plan: no glass between the fire and the wooden ceiling. Before I could make it the four blocks back to the fire pit the ceiling was ablaze and shortly thereafter, so was the second floor ceiling and three of the four walls.
Heh, I did that the first time I made an automatic door, too. Only it was a skellie instead of a creeper that caused my grief. I stayed outside a bit too long, got shot a few times and ran inside. I turned to mock the skeleton and it wandered over to the pressure plate, opened the door and shot me in the face, killing me.
not really something stupid, but i found a skeleton dungeon i was going to turn into an arrow factory when a creeper came in while i was still working on killing everything/placing torches, blew up, and destroyed the dungeon

And a lot of wasted ores :/.
I promptly ragequit that map and erased it.
