WinXP SP3 32bit
Intel Core2 Duo E8600 3.16ghz

Used to be the **** 2 years ago, now I guess its average at best :sad.gif: Still runs minecraft like a champ tho.
uhh
windows 7 ultimate
3 or 4 gb
uhh, i dont feel like getting all the rest but my pc is 8 yrs old but it can still run some fps with a little problems
i play on fast or fancy it doesnt really mess up my fps and its goes from 20-50's
When I had the original texture I could only play smoothly on normal distance with the graphics set to fast. I changed the texture pack and now I can run on far with fancy setting. Don't know why, but it's cool.
but here's the good part.
w/ a short render on fancy settings, I can play alone or in an MP server w/ everybody else, and have no problems w/ the chunk updates. I ususally render at around 70 fps. (well until the last few updates, when I lost the screen fps read out.)
I don't know why, but my PC really does quite well for being 10 years old. I just keep updating the drivers.
I run Minecraft on "Far" and "Fancy" at 1920x1050 at around 300 FPS.
That GTX 470 is going to be bottlenecked by that Q6600, just an FYI.

Do not get attached to your saves, seriously, stuff like this has happened before, if there's something you love and really want to build...Wait for release.
On my main world which is 9.22mbs big.
I've been getting 30-50 fps.
I notice having worlds with mob spawner killing machine will bog the game down, but being outside of the chunk range will make the game able to process normally again.
