Kinda feel like building a house outta ice, gonna get a winter-land set up in a bit and would like to know how to get started...

This may be possible.. get a bucket and no light source near he spot you will build on... dumbp the water source out of the bucket it turns to ice, and get another bucket of water put it on the ice?
I'm not sure but this is probably the only chnace of doing this.

yeah, it's possible using the mold method, I've built a small one before. you just can't light the house with torches. However, since mobs tend not to spawn on ice, I wouldn't be too worried.

Seems to be working so far, having trouble with water not freezing...

I'm getting it working, just gotta wait for another night to pass...
