For me I made a massive log cabin 3 stories high 20 blocks and a width of about 60 blocks all wooden and I made a stone chimney and put a chunk of wood underneath the chimney and lit it with some flint unknowing that there's freaking sparks and the entire cabin burned down in 5 minutes lol 2 hours of work and about 2000 blinks gone lol :sad.gif:
I had a log cabin with an eternal flame bonfire out front. One day I came back from a night of hunting to find my home burned to the ground. While scavaging the remains to recover what I could I noticed 2 leather on the ground on one of the corners of where my house was. I went all CSI and worked out that a cow had spawned in my yard, walked onto the fire then in a burning rage decided to kamikaze my cabin. 3 shiny swords later cow kind had repaid me for my losses in blood...
It had a basement i wasnt originally planning to put in, so i asked for suggestions. Someone suggested putting a generator down there...so i did....last screeny says the rest.
I don't know if I missed something ingame or not, but what in the hell is a Generator in this game? And how do you make them or for what purpose?
It is when you place a lava spring and a few water springs using other blocks in order to make a machine which generates cobblestone blocks. Typically you stand in one spot mining 2 cobblestone blocks, which releases water and then lava into that square, which creates 2 more blocks in the same positions. If you are interested do a search for cobblestone generator in the forums and you will find videos on how to make one.
This might be a stupid question, but what are those thin wood sticks holding up the gazebo?
I don't know for sure, but looking at it, I presume they are fenceposts. When you place a single fencepost they look like upright sticks (like, erm, fenceposts) until you put another one next to it which makes the fence.
I've not thought about stacking them to make a cool upright like this though - very clever!
Protip: Press ESC right before you test something risky, so your level can save. If something goes wrong, press "i" and close minecraft. If you restart it and go into your world, it reverts back to when you pressed ESC
I use it all the time when testing cannons. =)
