I'm making a Spleef stadium on an Alpha server, and I'd like to know whats the fastest material to destroy? out of every possible material, and with what tool?
For those who don't know what spleef is, you basically have a platform with people on itm, and you have to destroy the blocks of the platform to make them fall off while trying to dodge their attempts to make you fall off. It's a great fast paced game that has many variations, and can be played in teams too:
great example, but its in classic.

I think it would be much more fun to have a spleef game where there were various different types of materials, and each player has each stone tool, so the players better able to switch to the appropriate tools would have an easier time cornering and eliminating their opponents.
There is a pool at the bottom, falling in it teleports you above the stadium to watch the rest of the match, exactly like the video I posted, it is the perfect setup, so im proud to steal the idea :happy.gif:
so dirt+diamond shovel is faster than glass? also, what about wool? ive never destroyed it but i guessed it would be easy
and why didnt my video link tags thingy work ?:sad.gif:

Sand might be trick due to gravity effects, but not impossible
do snow blocks experience gravity effects? if not that it sounds good, although I will have to place torcheswell
I will have to investigate
or could anyone else?
Main competitors are Dirt, Snow and Sand all with diamond shovels

Other than that glass is fast...faster with a sword.
All you have to do is hit tnt, you can make a pool af water at the bottom so it doesnt kill your statium
That would be a cool game, but its expensive, and the chance for blood and agony is very high.
