I like to show people the famous unofficial Minecraft "Inception" trailer, or the impressive Minecraft Interstate. (both are posted on the development blog and easily Google'd if you want to see them) I tend to not show them videos with overly-elaborate creations (like the full-scale model of the Star Trek Enterprise) since those are a bit too intense for casual newcomers, and would probably give them the idea that everybody is a little bit TOO obsessed with Minecraft.
Which is true, for me at least, but I try to disguise that fact. >.>

Anything is possible when your world looks like Minecraft and not reality. I'm on a pig.
