After going through that site, I'd say it's pretty safe to say it's satire, and a pretty good one too, seeing as most people here probably think this is what Christians believe. For me though, being aware of what Christians believe (as well as aware of what the world think Christianity is), this is definitely satire, a parody of what the world believes Christianity to be. Check out their "How to worship" page to get an idea. They have a whole bunch of silly videos of "Christian" dancing and then dance moves to dance to your favourite hymns. Dance is great, Hymns are great, silly videos are great, but this is satire folks :smile.gif:
I'll agree with you there, but online most anyone can take anything seriously, and then it becomes impossible to tell if the subject is satire or not. There's actually a named law for this, but the name escapes me. Either way it's absolutely hilarious to read.
That was some funny ****. Colbert-level mockery; nice stuff. Warms the empty godless pit I store my heathen soul in. Not to flame Christianity in general (plenty of flames there already :biggrin.gif:), but you KNOW there's always folks REALLY like this who ruin it for you normal non-insane believers. Every social unit in human existence has at least one guy in it that make the rest go "Ah, crap, not THAT guy!"
And yeah, there are people whose comprehension skills will be totally smokescreened by this particular one, it's a nice piece of satire. I give this misdirection ZERO CROSSES!!!

Every time I come to these forums, I think more and more that I'm the only person who plays Minecraft normally.
Every time I come to these forums, I think more and more that there is no such thing as playing Minecraft normally.
At least it's a good review.
There's not a single bad one. :biggrin.gif:
I think some of that applies, since you can do whatever you want.
It COULD be an exact mirror of the life/death of King Arthur. Something could tell you "Hey! In that game you just bought... Build a temple for your majesty."
Minecraft is a mirror of real life, but yet, not a sim game.
Addiction.
My family (with whom I tend to avoid discussions with about religion since I married and moved away) are Pentecostals. I've played some of the Christian games out there or Christian mods for games. Which makes this type of "review" all the more awesome.

I figured out that this site was satire by just reading this Minecraft review.
Also, the section where they propose changing the U.S. Flag to have "GOD" written accross the top of it.

I grew up in a southern baptist church and I can tell you this is definitely satire. It's sad to me how little people know about christians and believe anything they hear about them.
P.S I still lol'd at that
I dunno, I was watching some back episodes of amazing race earlier. This one girl was praying to god to help with a challenge, then on the next challenge they had to find a statue of Joan of Arc. She thought it was going to be a big boat filled with 2 of each animal...
Let people think what they want to think.
Minecraft is open ended.
It's just you, sheep, cows, chickens, pigs, and demons.
You're the only sentient being here, you worship what you want.
From God, to Odin, to Notch, or nothing.
Your world, your customs.

Not so sure about this one... lol
This site is a pretty well-known satirical site.
My family (with whom I tend to avoid discussions with about religion since I married and moved away) are Pentecostals. I've played some of the Christian games out there or Christian mods for games. Which makes this type of "review" all the more awesome.

That picture has meme written all over it.
Gotta love the satire, its always a good laugh.
Though I think this shows how we can make anything relate to absolutely anything else.
I dunno, I was watching some back episodes of amazing race earlier. This one girl was praying to god to help with a challenge, then on the next challenge they had to find a statue of Joan of Arc. She thought it was going to be a big boat filled with 2 of each animal...
Ohmagawd, I HATE it when Jehoovurs Wartnoosis's come and ring my doorbell all day until I finally open the door.
