Yep there is. Use this: http://twitter.com/notch/statuses/26026723682
Anyways, it's sort of lame that we won't get an update for the second week in a row, but I can understand there's a lot of issues with starting a real business. Here's hoping it all gets sorted out by next Friday. :biggrin.gif:
Man, another week without an update? That makes me a sad panda. I want more awesome stuff to keep the game exciting. I understand why he might not have an update tomorrow being super busy and all. So don't take this as complaining. Just disappointed.
I couldn't care less, you guys are all whining about no update two weeks in a row, where as some other games are barely getting any updates at all! **cough**BadCompany2**cough**
Besides, the game is awesome enough as it is.
What? It's not like we've known this the entire time! Thank you for telling us! [/sarcasm]
What? Notch confirmed this already? Oh wait, that's right, he didn't. Until I saw it on Twitter 5 seconds after it was posted. Just because you're clairvoyant doesn't mean the rest of us are, we were all hoping for an update. And I'm certainly not saying the game isn't awesome. I'm hopelessly addicted and love it.
But I think people aren't being unreasonable in expecting frequent updates, especially when Notch keeps dropping us hints about stuff he'll implement soon. We all want this stuff, and patience is difficult. I'm not really posting this to complain, just to confirm. I have immense respect for Notch.

I'm saying that it was fairly obvious the entire time this week we weren't getting an update.

Bad Company 2 has recieved 6 map packs, an extra game mode, massive patches, and almost-complete redo's of some game aspects entirely. It's a finished product, why would you expect updates? DICE is working on BC2: Vietnam for the winter, and that IS completly redoing the BC2 online, new maps/guns/vehicles, etc.
DICE is also working on Medal of Honor's online, due out on the 12th of October. Go check it out, and tell me they haven't been working like hell. I was in the Beta for MoH about a month ago, it had a HUGE way to go to be done. Also, DICE is holding an open Beta, October 4th-7th, for the PC.
Comparing Notch to an established console video-game developer is like comparing concrete to photosynthesis.
Sense, it makes none.
On the bright side, he's supposed to be hiring developers to kick the project ahead much faster than he could do alone, which would mean a lot more than him sitting alone in a dark room pushing some minor tweaks. Not that he couldn't do both, but I'm not really worried about it.
Right on top, I don't know how to link to a single tweet (idk if there's even a way?)
so, ya, think this.

Well, respect the fact that not everyone sees things the way you do and try to focus on making constructive posts instead of spewing vitriol.
Also this.
Not really worried. Besides, i'm horribly horribly addicted to Final Fantasy XIV.
This. :<
But in all seriousness. Whoop-die-fscking-doo.
