Do you think it will have moved to Steam by then? Will it finally hit Beta or complete version? A new game engine? enemy mobs in SMP? PvP? New Enemy mobs? Color blocks? Better water and lava physics? Shrubs and bushes? Fishes? guns? Titanium Ore? Him?
I like this game because it's fun. But also because of all the possibilities. What do you think Minecraft will be like in one year, both playability wise and popularity wise. Will it be more popular or will it be a dead fad?
Right now it's got almost 200k sales....so a year from now should be a million easy. It will most likely be on steam too.
As for the game itself I bet it's going to be drastically different. Same core game and graphics, but things like Biomes alone are going to massively change it. Then think of the other stuff he has planned like Mob Villages, Alchemy, all the new items, etc. It's going to be very very different from what we know now. Probably much much better too.
I wish there was a copyright or patent that made it so no obvious similar content is reproduced by any other company other than its original publisher. EA makes good games, but they do rip off a lot of games... and Ubisoft, screw big corporations, except Apple. iPods are awesome.
On the front screen it sometimes says "NOT on Steam!"
No Steam.

Look at Counter-Strike: Source
Now look at Wolf Team
Now back at Counter-Strike: Source
Now look at Combat Arms
Now back at me.
The Counter-Strike: Source is now diamonds.
Minecraft becomes so massive and epic that you have to download six clients and run them at the same time to make room for the amazing features. People will sell computers advertising that they're so powerful, they can run minecraft at highest settings. And in 2012, Minecraft will become reality 2.0. Basically, its going to be amazing.

Good:
The game gets thousands upon thousands of new crafts and in-game things.
Notch gets the amount of servers as youtube has.
Minecraft stops 2012 (joke)
Bad:
Someone (ea, ubisoft,valve,etc...) buys minecraft
They ruin the game and change it completley
Everyone then decides to make clones of the game
Sandbox games die because of the overload amount of them
2012 happens (joke)
---------------------------
In all seriousness, I hope to see this community grow massively and change the world of gaming.

Well he did meet with Valve and tour their headquarters not long ago. And most of those taglines are just jokes anyways. I think it's pretty likely, Steam is a haven for indie developers.
