What are these? Well it says it right there.
There are games for Creative, such as Spleef and Race, Obstacle course and more,
but what about Survival? What games could possibly be made for Survival?! Spleef is difficult to pull off as there is deconstruction times, and racing/obstacle courses could be possible, but we need more than that!
Well here's some to get us started!
GAUNTLET:
Said before, but not really noticed.
In Gauntlet, Many competitors are herded into a dark room, bordered by spectators on opposite sides, in glass view-boxes elevated off the ground. They can or can not have weapons depending on the rules, but the goal remains simple. Survive. They are put into the dark underground or aboveground room, and when it's all ready, the **** goes down. The spawning is turned on, or competitors are dropped into the arena. Then they have to fight monsters for a time of 1 minute, from the start of spawns to the one minute mark. PvP is also allowed, but not recommended. The Winner gets the spoils, put in by all competitors. It's basically a gambling fighting game.
GOLD HOARD/RUSH:
Two teams of players are set in a closed area, already stripped of gold, and walled in. Players have 5-10 minutes to gather resources (Anything but Gold) to construct a castle around their central gold hoard, placed on the opposite side of the map from each other. When the time is up, players have to combat their way into or sneak their way into the enemies' base to steal a gold block. Whichever team has more gold blocks by the end or if all gold blocks are stolen, then that team wins. Can also be modified so that there are artificial gold blocks within the play area that have to be mined out.
SO, LETS GET THINKING FOR SOME MAJOR FUN.
LET THE GAMES BEGIN.

"It is always nice to have a sense of improbability in Littlebigplanet. FROGMORTON. Heh, you didn't expect that now did you?"

Exactly, but it's more
"Get more points and have points stolen by the enemy" Kind of thing.
With CTF, you can't tell which team scored more,
but with Gold Rush, you can, as by how many gold blocks they have.

So you start off with lets say 5 each. They get like 10 minutes to build defenses around the castle with nothing and there should be two vaults, one for your own gold and one for what you've stolen so it doesn't get confusing like to say both teams stole 2 gold. I am so playing this. DOn't forget the occasional TNT.

Talent didn't go anywhere, it just gets lost in all the noise. You have to find it.
Wow like I literally just made a thread about this (http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=17898) just over an hour before this one. I don't mean to be rude or anything but why didn't you just post it there? I would gladly add your games to the first post with your name on them. And again I'm not trying to start a fight or anything just wondering why.
Mazes, with creepers and lava. And spectators watching from above.
Arrow dodge. Contestants are put in an arena, with skeletons or players taking aim. There are iron doors (or 1 high flood gates) blocking the skeles from shooting. The game starts, a switch is pulled and... dodge.

It's all good. But yea if you want I can add your games to my list. I figure I can make a huge list of the games that people think of on here (giving credit to them of course) so that when multiplayer comes out everyone can have all kinds of fun.
i was thinking of more of big brawl, everyone enters with nothing, and tries to kill each other, BUT theres hidden chests, containing wepons and other goods, and traps all around the place.
and there can be any theme to it: hell, beach, arena etc
Jousting is an obvious one. Two parallel cart tracks and (once Notch makes them self-powered), make a loop that they keep going on and continue to pass each other until one player forfeits (bails) or dies.
