This is the project I've been working on for the last week or so. It's a self-sufficient floating home, with tree farms, a wheat farm, a cobblestone generator and other facilities.
Oh, and it looks really cool. :biggrin.gif:
First, the schematics. It's mostly separated into floors, with the Entrance Room having another "Welcome Room" (that you will see later) above it.
Entrance is through the water elevator.
...Going up!
Welcome!
Going up one floor, you enter the center of the Sky Garden. We'll get to that later.
Inside the central pillar, there's a ladder that connects the Sky Garden, Work room and Crafting room.
Going up to the top of the ladder, we reach the crafting room. Two small chests and a crafting table.
Going down the ladder to the left leads us to the furnace room
8 Furnaces. 2 random levers.
Behind the central furnaces is another ladder. Down the ladder...
...Is the "Work Room". 4 large chests for storage, an infinite spring and a cobblestone generator.
Pretty efficient, though one or two will be burned up by the lava.
Going back to the crafting room, there's a set of ladders going up...
...Leading to the viewing deck. Everything looks so much more awesome above the cloud level.
Holy crap, the view!
Another interesting aspect about the build is the Sky Garden. It brings a simulated ground environment to the sky. (Thus, "Sky Garden") Features include areas to grow trees, a farm, and a little area for flowers. I'll be adding more stuff to the two quarters that are still empty.
cool, probably been done before, but cool nonetheless.
not really self sufficent considering you need to leave to mine for minerals.

Matt, seriously, stop trolling. So can you please shut the **** up and go troll the infdev forums about how much you want to get 10 bucks from your hobo house?
I support this epic structure, seriously, ive seen massive "sky" structures before, which were impressive in their own right, but this is by far the best ive seen, great job!

Curse PremiumYeah, it's built above my oldest save, cause I'm too lazy to get new materials and stuff.
I'll make one when I have the time, any suggestions on what screencapture program to use?

Curse PremiumAnd video's up, though horrible quality.
But you should replace the water elevator with a ladder.
Sig'ed
This is truly outstanding. It's amazing how you got everything to fit in such a compact, circular space.
Awesome job, sir!
