HINT HINT IT'S REALLY THE MINECARTS BUT NOT REALLY CUZ NOTCH ADDED DRAGONS THAT LIVE IN FLOATING ISLANDS AND SPEW FIRE AND LAY EGGS THAT HATCH INTO BABY DRAGONS THAT FLY TO YOUR HOUSE AND EAT YOUR TORCHES AND LIGHTS YOUR HOUSE ON FIRE AND I AM SERIOUS IT HAPPENED TO ME I WAS EXPLORING A FLOATING ISLAND AND SETTING UP A CAMP THERE WHEN THIS DRAGON CAME OUT OF NOWHERE AND LIKE ATE ALL MY TORCHES AND IT ALSO MADE A LITTLE POND OF WATER ONTOP OF THE FLOATING ISLAND TURN INTO MELTING LAVA CUZ MELTING LAVA KILLS THE BLOCKS UNDERNEATH IT AND MAKES A HUGE HOLE IN THE ISLAND AND IT ALSO MADE A LAVAFALL AND NOW DURING NIGHT I CAN SEE THE DRAGONS CIRCLING THE ISLAND AND I AM TOO AFRAID TO GO BACK BECUZ IT ATE MY TORCHES AND IF I GO BACK I HIT WATER AND THIS HUGE WATER DRAGON LIVES THERE IT BREATHES ICE COLD WATER THAT IS DANGEROUS LIKE WHEN IT HITS YOU IT TAKES AWAY TWO HEARTS AND IT ALSO MAKES ICE WHERE IT WALKS LIKE A GIANT ICE YETI DINOSAUR MONGOLIAN HYBRID WITH A SWORD AND LIKE I TRIED TO KILL IT WITH MY DIAMOND SWORD BUT THE WATER DRAGON ATE IT AND THEN IT ATE ME AND I RESPAWNED AND I SAW A BABY TREE DRAGON THAT WAS LIVING IN A TREE I SAW IT WAS A TREE BABY DRAGON CUZ IT WAS LIVING IN A TREE AND LIKE IT ATE A SHRUB AND THEN IT LIKE THREW A MUSHROOM AT ME AND IT ALSO STOLE MY ARROWS SO I HAD TO MAKE NEW ONES AND I DID AND LIKE I SHOT THE BABY TREE DRAGON BUT THEN IT WAS AT LOW HEALTH I DIDNT CUZ THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN MEAN BUT SERIOUSLY THIS WAS JUST A DREEEAAAMMMMM......

If you check Notch's Todo list ( http://www.toodledo.com/views/public.ph ... 9fbf9c05a0 ) you can see these three todo's with an "active" status. And the todo list has just been updated...

Its quite clear that the big thing is SMP

I'm not one to get excited easily, and I always doubt the proof given to me firsthand... buuuut:

This reminds me of a facebook page that used to pop up all the time, "English teachers make more out of a book then the author did." "Big thing" was probably just a placeholder because he didn't have a plan for whats next, trying to focus on what he is doing.

I imagine the big thing is multiplayer - things like new mobs and such arent really big.

now if it isnt multiplayer then its biomes or seasons - but notch has openly said hes going to get multiplayer done before those things.

That's just a good thing, not a big thing.

IF it isn't SMP, I say biomes. Biomes are big because, obviously, they cover huge swaths of the map, and the huge map as a whole. What could be bigger than that?!

I think its a thing...BUT ALSO BIG.

I actually think he mighta been making a pun.

Meaning, it could be giant mobs.

That would be really cool, in my opinion.

I want SMP the most, I am sure most of you agree. But second to that I want Boats, then biomes.

If you want to consider the public to do list technical, then, in my opinion, survival mode multiplayer is the biggest thing.

The new network protocol at the top of level 4 will solve that.

Edit: Well, depends on what one mean with hacking... Flying/wallclip/etc in multiplayer will be obsolete with a new protocol.

Edit 2: Is it only me who gets a twitchy eye everytime someone use the word hacker in the wrong context?
