I was thinking while I was playing infdev that it would be cool if creepers could find your walls and explode on them by themselves instead of you having to be near. So you would have to build something more than just a high wall thats thin to keep them out. Maybe this would only happen on hard mode or a setting for it.
I was trying to think of a joke, but I actually came up with an idea. Like some sort of "Monster Dispenser" that spit out one certain monster. I'm sure someone thought of that but I just like to get my ideas out of my head.
I think they're intelligent enough already, I know this because of the time they blew a hole in my gate to let the 20 zombies, 5 skeletons, and 10 spiders in. Anyways, it would be kind of annoying to have to keep a constant watch of your house and look through it to make sure theres no holes in it all the time.
Also, the monster dispenser idea, would it be like a craftable thing that you place somewhere and it starts churning out whatever varient of it you made? Like 10 stone and 5 feathers for a zombie dispenser for example, or 10 stone and 5 string for a spider dispenser.
i dont know.. i both want to see it, and i dont want it..
it would be irritating with stacking creepers...
Though it would be very cool..
That is easily the coolest AI improvement I've ever seen. Ever. Just imagine it. You think you're safe and they literally create a creeper-ladder to get to you like army ants.
The problem with making creepers smarter is the fact that they are very destructive. Very. If 5-10 creepers had super-good AI and simply waltzed up to your wall one by one, no wall of any usable thickness would survive. Everything would either have to be under ground (In which case you still need exits to get wood, food, ect.) or so reinforced that everything aboveground would look like fort knox.
It would be even worse if when they exploded they would shoot up if the creeper was below them like samus and her mines... Still a scary thought

I post too much.

also add where the other mobs can break down walls at a slow rate
and if you dont want to constantly worry about your house you can turn it off or play on a server that had it off

Army ants that EXPLODE.
Bulild stuff in a creative mode to use for a survival mode
Wheat farms and tree farms. Problem solved.
Also, what is intelligent about committing suicide to shift some dirt?
