Successful troll is successful, then?
Yes, he was pretty successful. Mostly since this community is made of 12 year old kids who can't control themselves.
with no fog, do you mean you turned the fog off, or did you just put it at farthest? o.O I would like to know how you turn the fog off. ;o
I believe he means 'render distance = Far' which on most maps basically means the fog is off; since with it toggled at 'far' means far past the normal boundaries of the map.
I think it freezes for me only for less than second when the night comes. Here I mean the layering, when it becomes darker, each layer that gives it a darker tone freezes it for 0.01 second, and it's just so smooth that you can't notice it.
So, I think you're the only one with huge freezing problems, TheYeIIowDucK.
My video card is just odd,
It's an ATI, works fine too. I get 60- 120 fps, day and night, on all map sizes, and despite huge chunk updates, despite light and night, always stays at around the same fps too. Never crashed either.

Remember that even old echoes can create new harmonies.
Who sits down and writes maniacle laughter?

Since the new performance update Minecraft keeps freezing for me! Every 2 seconds!!!
AAGGHH!
Am i the only one with this problem?
Double yes. No problems for me. :biggrin.gif:
Although I havent check my laptop yet...

It seem that MC now takes much more RAM memory, so i can't play with all of my programs and websites on

Sound was the problem apparently. Of course people are still having issues. :biggrin.gif: :biggrin.gif: :biggrin.gif:

The bigger the map, the more problems. I have never been able to play huge maps on my laptop. So just play smaller maps.
Yep, huge maps crash Java for me, too. You're not the only one.
It sucks, though, cause my main save is on a huge map...
Medium map: 200 FPS (+100 at night)
Huge map: 100 FPS (+200 at night?! O_o)
Light change occur with no lag or freeze of any kind.
Looks like night is boosting my frame to 300 (idk why...)
Playing on a Quad Core. My laptop play almost all maps on 70 fps with a +20 fps at night.
(all number are aproximate)
Would be even more so if the moon was like this. XD

Ergh...
On the other hand...
