Wow, that broke the game. Hold on while I try to fix stuff.
[edit]
I’ve uploaded a new server and a new client, fixing the two major bugs I heard about.
I had to disable leaves decaying again (sorry!) because it caused infinite loops in certain situations
Hey0 beta 7 broken as well sigh!.... ah well cant play with out that or server will be a mess. I'm just going to sit my as down and do something else while we wait.
It wasn't even supposed to be implemented in this update. Skeletons don't shoot arrows though.
Yet, I haven't even updated my Minecraft yet or played it today. Waiting for all these bugs to be fixed.

EDIT: Oh it was supposed to.

Basically everything I talked about in the last post is done, with some extras such as visible hurt animations (how did I forget that?) and visible fire on burning mobs.

@Led, didn't we already know that?
Don't diss the code - no one writes perfect code the first time. It's the testing that is crap. Notch needs to hire 2-3 people to test the updates and we'll be set.

Probably, I would reply to those comments on his blog but its not worth it. Honestly though notch must be able to suck it in pretty good and forget, coz if he were a total asshat he would let some bad bugs slide past his watch to just royaly **** of the idiots who post crap in the comments of his blog.

Perhaps you are unaware as to what it means to have purchased the game before official release...
We ARE the testers.
Arrghh I was going to say that but the forum stole it from meh!
But yeah. Who needs 2-3 testers when you have an entire community?
Lock eyes from across the room
Down my drink while the rhythms boom
Take your hand and skip the names
No need here for the silly games
Make our way through the smoke and crowd
The club is the sky and I'm on your cloud
Move in close as the lasers fly
Our bodies touch and the angels cry
Leave this place, go back to yours
Our lips first touch outside his door
Is the whole night with what we've got in store?
Whisper in my ear that you want some more
And I jizz in my pants.

I understand that, but even with games that have public alpha, some internal testing is done at minor version intervals between public releases to ensure that there is nothing that completely breaks the game.
Not to mention, having someone in the same room to show you the bug and how exactly to reproduce it is definitely a lot better than people untrained in how to write effective bug reports delivering them via forums, e-mail and twitter.

Some guy decided to host a test server earlier on, I hope he doesn't mind if I post the IP.

May lag a bit randomly.
The server is hosted in Australia - so you'll probably get better performance from within the asia-pacific region.

AngelCraft 64 Texture Pack v2.0.2 (Beta 1.8.1)
Nerd, geek, server admin, guy wearing a rainbow skin (with an office suit of epicness)? That's me.
Also, no server admin has any excuse for a corrupted save, it should be standard practice to backup the server before applying an update.
I forgot to note, saves only corrupt in singleplayer.
