Definitely toggle-damage. I couldn't build half the things I build if I suffered fall damage. I suppose I could build them, development would just be much slower.
PETS YES. i mean u can just get a tiny slime and have it follow you everywhere, but they are slow. plus, you should have to at least feed them or something (also would they fall down giants pits you jump into?)
i also really want some more farming aspects incorporated.
lastly, im starting a very small server with my friends, so is the server update out and will it update automatically or do i have to reinstall it?

The Meaning of Life, the Universe, and Everything...
I have noticed a large number of people talking about restricting block destruction and placement to stop griefing. However, I think SMP will be very different from Creative in that you will be warring against other players, instead of focusing on building awesome things. Everybody will be focused on building practical defenses, keeping other players off of their land, and not dying.
However, this could get quickly aggravating, so it would be nice to be able to team up with people. One person could handle invaders while another mines for resources. A good robust system for setting up and modifying allegiances would be very cool.
tl;dr version:
Implement teams.

I'm organizing a new server that will be better than TJRP. If you can write well or even at all (number one requirement), stay tuned!
Fixing the hacking and duplicating should be notch's #1 priority... I honestly don't know why he's doing health first.
After that I'd like to see server-enforced texture packs and an official API so that we can have server-enforced client mods - as well as a way to check the minecraft.jar of anyone joining to make sure it's not modded.

hey0 has already made a mod for a server browser. Not sure how well it works due to the fact that I've never tried it. I've heard some say it works great, and some have bugs. But hopefully Notch will install his own server browser. It will just make things easier on everyone. And a friends list would also be nice.

You will have to take your map out, and then re-download the server files. Then, when that is done, just slap your map back in, and there you go! :biggrin.gif:
After damage is fixed... who cares, I am going to be able to play the game with my friends. We will be able to kill monsters, each other, and go hunting for bosses. There will be pleanty to do now that you can DIE and your not superman. Cant just build whatever you want, whenever you want.
Minecarts working like they do in single player would be cool but that not working does not wreck half of the game like damage does.
Notch can snort blow and buy hookers for all I care.... after damage works properly ;o)

By bosses, do you mean mobs? I am pretty sure there are no bosses in Minecraft that currently exist just yet.
Specific things I'd want. More blocks and items. No need for more materials, just more recipes that take already crafted blocks/items and make new things like copper and other mixed metals, or 5 sticks for a chair, and that chair+gold for a gold-socketed chair, and.. well.. lots of items. We have lots of materials, but not many recipes. Barely any. There are lots of logic combinations that aren't being used right now

First of all, not THAT many people hack. Second of all, I'm sure they're hacking because they're bored of SMP because Health doesn't work!!!

Because theyre all totally going to play fair as soon as serious MP starts with combat and stuff!!!
Of course, there will just be those plain hackers who hack just to hack, but I'm hosting a private server, so I'm not too worried about hackers getting into my server. (Btw, anyone who wants to join it when the new Health update comes out, I am wiping my server and starting fresh. PM me if you want to join it.)
My choices?
-Server-side inventory (not that I really care, but it has to be done sometime)
-Tutorials. I know several people who would definitely enjoy the game, but get bored easily due to not knowing what to do. A tutorial would fix this fact.
-New, creative mob's and general features. I'd like to see what sort of friendly mob Notch could come up with, especially now that we've seen what he can make with the Ghast/Pigman/Creeper.
-Start working on adventure mode. I'd like a branching story and clever dungeons. He could even enlist help from, say, the creator of Escapecraft or some similar.
-Primitive Alchemy mode.
-Move into Beta, start bug fixing
-After most major bugs have been fixed, start working on more recipes and other such stuff.
-Full game.
-More Random updates.
Of course it depends on how well damage is implemented, if the halloween patch is any indication we can anticipate some pretty serious "issues" when this releases. Fixing those "issues" should be priority #1. All the same after that is fixed this would be what is most important to me.
1. FIX PORTALS!
Face it, they're still horribly broken.
2. Lanterns and general lighting upgrades.
The general lighting upgrades would be nice to see. Also to me personally lanterns were part of the entire reason for the nether to exist. Without lanterns, "glowstone" has limited use at best.
3. Fixes for item duplication/loss in SMP
4. Fixes for timing in SMP (no more superspeed glitches)
5. Fixes for trees in Survival/SMP
- No more trees in SMP that "forget" to grow leaves.
- Fix leaves so they decay when they aren't supported again.
6. Fixes for water/magma in SMP (making buckets work again)
7. Fixes for fences in SMP (no more getting stuck on top of fences)
8. Fixes for mining in SMP (no more blocks magically reappearing after being mined)
9. Fully implement minecarts in SMP
10. Fully implement redstone in SMP
Well first,I would like him to have a Mod Backup release so that way we could update our client and not have to reinstall our mods again but I would also like there to be an option like Veteran or Insane instead of Hard difficulty because me running from a creeper isn't that fun since I can turn around and hit him then do a James Bond move off the mountain.

Also implementing sponge.

But seriously, server side inv. dupe bugs need to be fixed.
Yeah...I jumped on the bandwagon...now feed the damn egg.
Because he put up a poll and thats what people wanted first.
