If he doesn't want to make it public (don't see why not ), then he should set up a private repo, which can have up to 5 users free. Did I mention it supports issue tracking? Automated bug reports from within the program itself? Can't be a bad thing!
and i don't see why i should at this point of time,
1) i first started making it for personal reasons, where as i wanted one that i could customise fully to what i needed, which then led to me releasing it for others who may want to use one (which then i made it more noob friendly)
2) i have lot more planned for it so why bother releasing the source when its getting constant updates when im not 100% happy with the lack of use/features.
3) the source is quite annoyingly big lol, that also will need ALOT of cleaning up.
One day i -MAY- release it.
But as for now i will get back to adding that thing you mentioned & the few extras planned for next release.
Good job man its sweet as, looking forward to the updates !
Thanks mate ;D
good thing i managed to break my update method and/or server :/
ahah, My server is getting looked at by the so called 'engineers' as i was told :smile.gif: (but then again, they say it's not my fault ;D)
So i...well, have another update, but scrap the update function :biggrin.gif:.... =.=
And im still not too happy about the way i went about updating the program. (the dl part works fine, just the update part)
I have and urge to completely remove it till everything is fixed, then release the new major update, (i will soon add plugin support for it, and then a new update, if everything works swell)
i have 1 feeling about some part, (just gotta check some files getting downloaded haha), a huntch, just might work yet! :biggrin.gif:
Fixed a weird problem when kicking (yeh i know :/, it would try to kick if they weren't online!, but do nothing when they were)
added /tp for anonymity ;D
forgot to add mod & unmod xD
Besides that, servers seems to be running absolutly fine :biggrin.gif:
What is the default command to use the kits with this? I've tried everything I can think of and there is nowhere to enable or disable this feature besides adding or removing said kits.
Is this compatible with hey0's mod? Currently trying to use it and the program seems to hang at this line.
I edited the Minecraft_Mod.jar that comes with Hey0's mod and changed it to minecraft_server to try to make it compatible with this.
<VisualAdmin> Starting Server with parameters: java -Xms1024m -Xmx1024m -jar minecraft_server.jar

That hanging is most likely VisualAdmin still looking/waiting for the output/inputs of the actual server, other wise it crashed at that point because of hey0's mod, or it may be running already, check in task manager for "java.exe" (although java.exe can be for many other programs too) and try to localhost with the ports if that exists. (worth a shot i guess)
Or i will try to add hey0 support, because i've only ever ran it once,
It really depends on how hey0's mod works, for example in the new update i am half way through, it allows you to use addons using the API from oddsheogorath. "java -Xms1024m -Xmx1024m -jar api.jar"
But what also maybe the problem is that, the current released version only uses minecraft_server.jar, whereas the new version can allow you to edit the command arguments.
If you would like i can try to setup a quick update for it, where you can modify the arguments, or if you can pm, me i may be able to send a beta for the new version...(some parts wont work correctly)
If you added Hey0 support, I'd greatly appreciate it and would definitely give feedback to help. =]
I will have a quick look into it now :tongue.gif:
As i've started the basic interactions between my server for global banlist & server list (yes it is able to be switched on/off :wink.gif: )
Edit:
Ok so i've checked it out,
What it needs is Minecraft_Mod.jar executed, not minecraft_server.jar. (customisable in the new update already as stated previously)
And ive been able to connect and play, BUT
There will be a few problems that i will need to address, Which is not really major, but i will have to allow disabling of Motd's and such or some of the notifications so it doesnt duplicate with ones of hey0's,
such as
DeathCradle joined the game.
Type /help for a list of commands.
Welcome, DeathCradle!
Please be sure to read #help and #rules
To me this seems like a bit of a dupe, but i can make a quick 1.4 update, and release v2 with server interactions later?
Unless they remove it from the motd?...
I'm mainly looking for Hey0 support due to the Plugins, though I would highly prefer managing notifications and an MOTD through a visual interface.
I can see a bit of conflict as far as the / commands and the # commands goes though, say we disable Hey0's /help, the rest of the commands would still be /, but the help and rules would be #.
It's really preference and how to create consistency, is there any way we could just disable the /help and /motd commands for Hey0's Mod and then default your commands to /?
But it's really asking for a bit much, so if the easiest way out would be to just disable Motd's and notifications on your application, then I suppose we can just do that. :x
the command part 'should' be okay, as the only commands using / in mine are say & tp, and they are also usable by #tp & #say too (depending on key)
and btw # is not always the case, i've also allowed this to be changed to ! $ etc
e.g. !give <player> <item> <amount>, @give, #give (etc)
I've also planned to make motd editable visually, along with all config files, maybe ill make a dynamic file editor somewhat...
But so far hey0 works (in VA beta), ill add a checkbox in server management or properties to disable conflicts with hey0's notifications.
Excited to see this in the works, now the only questions is.. Where do I donate? :tongue.gif:
I do have a few requests if it's going to wrap around Hey0, any possible way you can put in Plugin management?
Disable/Enable, I wouldn't assume it would be too difficult right? Put a Plugin folder in the directory for your Wrapper, enable a plugin and it creates a temp of the file in Hey's Plugin folder.. I mean, of course it's a little more complex than that, counting groups and commands to enable the plugin.
But just an enable/disable like that would be great.
Looking forward to this, I'd like to see more support for Hey0 & Plugins, that will be a huge plus for me. That and albeit I love (lovee) GUI's, it seems a little unorganized to me, but maybe I'm just nitpicking.
I'm very excited to see where this goes. Keep it up!
We'll i assume hey0's supports plugins (as in manual?), so i beleive 1.4 is ready atm, so next update ill give that a shot,
(if hey0 mode enabled that is :tongue.gif:)
A friend of mine also wants a plugin system for my program as well, so one day that'll be added too ;D
But for now as of 4:46am, 1.4 will have hey0 support :tongue.gif:
And as for donate, within the programs credits form (Help - Credits) :wink.gif:
i think i should add one to the first post, kinda forgot this stuff xD.
I will add it when i release 1.4,
All that is left is a few checks *1 being whether it wants to update)
@PotatoOrgy
lol :tongue.gif: at one point i had brightness on my screen too high, so i couldnt see where some group boxes were xD
But yeh, ill see what i can do in some next versions i guess..
Okay, well I have updated the server as well, and the first post with v1.4 :biggrin.gif:
To get hey0 to work, copy & paste its contents of 'bin' to where VisualAdmin.exe (and it's dll's) are, you will then need to open Server properties in VA and have something similar to the following:
So pretty much instead of minecraft_server.jar use Minecraft_Mod.jar, then check 'hey0 Mode (Mod)'.
(also make sure other settings are complete :tongue.gif:)
You should now be able to run hey0's mod as well :wink.gif:
5:23am xD BED TIME!
Edit:
If anything else needs to be blocked out, just leave a reply, ill check it when i emerge from my bed later today
and i don't see why i should at this point of time,
