The Slide was a project of mine that started a week after survival MP (yes, this was done on an SMP server) was released and ended yesterday. It started off has just a quick waterslide/jump, but because of me constantly saying "OH I HAVE AN EVEN BETTER IDEA" and notch's updates constantly cutting up chunks i had to improvise and keep it going. Though none of this was planned out, so it is pretty much just sporadic inspiration that eventually led up to, The Slide.

And the only ppl actually WILLING to help me out lots were:

Epic, truly. That was breathtaking, I especially enjoyed the ending. It just gave a sense of "whoa".

Welcome to the forums jonny. Which WoM server is this on? I know you have around 5.

That's totally awesome. You should zip up all of the server files and upload them so others can ride the slide or explore after some time..

Wow, this is amazing. I'm curious about what you learned from your "TNT sensei". Do you think maybe you could share, or PM me? This is certainly amazing, a project of epic proportions! I would have loved to help if I played the same server. Speaking of which, is there any way I could get a chance at riding the slide (and perhaps partaking in future builds)? I don't even know if the WoM servers are public or not.

Edit: Ah, okay. They are public, then? Well, like someone above me said, I'd love to know which one it's on. Though I'll probably just look for it myself before getting a response. xD

Edit 2: Okay, totally confused now. It says my connection is refused when I try to log in to the WoM SMP servers and I can't find anything on the site about it. D8

I honestly came into this thread with low expectations but like... Wow. That last drop and the final tunnel were breathtaking. I'm impressed.

I am planning on getting the SMP map and putting it up w/ a cartograph of it once lacour gets enough time to do it. He's the one who was hosting it on his ossim VPS. Also this was all vanilla no custom anything was used. And it was not a wom server it was a personal server that i asked lacour to put up as a favor to me

You can read up about the server. All of wom SMP servers were taken down due to notch constantly updating and breaking our custom scripts, which resulted in poorly regulated servers. so in the end i just asked lacour to put a vanilla server up for me to build on cuz we is ossim BFF's And what MBP taught me was that i can use TNT to clean cut through rock with out it being messy, which increased production tenfold.

Yeah it was spawned, i used vanilla admin tools to do it. Though to be honest i did try to do it by mining at first, i just ended up getting bored and giving up, so i asked for OP

its pretty neat, but on a 1/10 scale i onyl give you an 7, lost three whole points for spawning.

but i know it took some larg amount of work either way and it looks really nice, good job.
