I think people should keep who they banned to themselves, and allow others to decide whether or not to ban the person depending on the experience in their own server.

^This should BE the way things work. It SHOULDN'T work like:
*reader searches forum* reader: "hmm, a thread that says 'ban this guy,' ima check it out." *reader reads the original post* reader: "well, according to this guys story, that guy should be banned from my server!"
If people decide to ban people just because a random post on a forum says so... they're dumbasses. Sorry, but that's how it is. :tongue.gif:
Agreed rob. In my opinion, a ban requires the admin to physically SEE the griefer grief. Cause in reality, how do you know that someone isn't just posting a "ban this dude" thread because they simply don't like that person? Not even that they griefed, they just dislike that person?
Ban list threads are stupid, because 33% of the admins on Pub servers are total ****. I see so many times when they ban griefers just because some player said they were griefing, and there was NO proof.
****ing horrible, since most of the time the griefer was the player who complained. xD
Though we all know global banlist are hated, shouldn't be used, and those who use it are stupid.
Just report those who make the threads....
:/
until someone makes a server mod that has /pget (a command that shows who edited that block last) like d3, you need to see the players actually griefing the map (unless what they are griefing i their own work)
If some servers use global banlist, its ok with me. but those people are retarded and the server will be less respected and less popular.
What pisses me off the most though, is that there are suppose to be less griefers since you have to pay for the game yet people still act like nothing has changed with the number of griefers
