hi there, my name is trilith, and i'm staring a new server. i know (a little) how to use hey0's mod, have installed cuboid to help with building, am familliar with mcedit, have a decent setup (Amd Phenom 2 x6 1090t thuban, 4gb), and i am thinking about putting to gether a core group of builders, for the spawn and beyond. this core group of players will get (at minimum) vip/mod access, as well as any other insignificant but totally cool bonuses i can throw at them. i'm a good builder, but not as good as designing. if you want in at the ground level, vip/mod/admin on a new server without donations, love to build, are a mature player (16+, 18+ for admin consideration), and want to help, please drop a line below

to be an admin, you must have Hey0 mod experience, as well as lots of building experience, and having already been admin helps. to be a mod, you must be at least 16 years old and played in the game at least a month,
vip access requires my approval alone: no one can grant vip but me. there will be commands in vip, that admin will not have.
it will be up to the admin, plus the general population as to what building choices we take, the server itself will be available to every person who plays here to download, i just dont know where or how to host it yet. i'd love to have a map, but i have no experience with serverside maps, so i'd need help.
a few good things to have:
xfire (i have an xfire account, if you are approved, you will be given the name)
skype (i have a skype account, if you are approved, you will be given the name)
yahoo, aim, or msn (i'm not typically logged in, but if enough members were, i would)
we do not have our own forums yet.
i currently cannot host more than maybe 10 people at once on this current bandwidth setup. it wouldn't be much of a big deal for me to upgrade, but that would take money, which i dont have at this point. this pc would host a 30+ noooo problem, none at all; i just need more bandwidth at my disposal.
the ip wont be posted here; it will be given upon approval. please do not post just to get 'whitelisted,' as we have no whitelist of any kind, and are not looking for people who just want to build a medium cobblestone hut. please do not post if you have no previous building experience. please only post if you want to actually build a really great town, make a good basis for a server, and build a community around it.
the server is currently in Hot Springs, Arkansas. being from around the general area will help with lag considerably.

before anyone gets mad, everyone on this list is already approved. the above list will help either in building the town, administrative duties, plugin and server management, or minecart track team, and are not just general builders. as such, do no think you are not approved for building in our town.
what we now need to decide:
firstly, we ALL need to sit down somehow and discuss the future of OUR server.
style, build materials for the spawn town, where to put the rail system (if we'll have a rail syste), how big lots will be, etc all has to be decided now. i figure the best way would probably be skype, seeing as i dont have a voice server currently at my disposal. all the people involved in its construction will end up being mods, admin, or other roles they want.. besides, not everyone will want the hassle of dealing with people all the time, the ones who dont will probably end up VIP, name all purple, and have access to vip only things that normally are reserved for admins.

i'm not really a big fan of cobblestone... i prefer doublesteps (item id 43), they are cleaner.
the towns position is situated in a tundra, surrounded by a lake thats mostly un frozen thanks to this being my original singleplayer map. there are two minecart railways across the first two continents that i put there, but everything can be taken down. plenty of land has been cleared out, and there are spots for large lots, as well as plenty of room to spread out for small lots. i originally built an enclosed walkway that evolved into building a minecart system, but as minecart mania has come around, thats not necsarry, at least not the booster system i had been working on and developing.
so, roads... i dont like cobblestone, but i do like the idea of letting EVERYONE who's interested in this server decide for themselves:

and any others you guys will have to nominate personally. those are the tree i nominate.
House construction:
should we regulate what materials are used in the spawn town's house construction, and if so, which materials?

from here on in, if you are not over 20, been playing for at least 4-6 months, and are looking for a permanent place among its admin and its builders.
at first, we'll need to look at what is here, and either delete it, or build around and upon it. (most likely deletion on at least a few). all spawn is at this point is a big glass room with SPAWN in it, lol. i haven't really messed with much, i just thought having a town in a snow style biome would be kinda cool, so i mcedited the area, to flatten alot of it, as well as bridge several water areas with each other. the results were mixed, to say the least.
