Why you want to join: I have some good minecraft experience in building. I've also wanted to get into a good bit of PVP on minecraft, seeing as how it is very fun from what I've heard! Plus this server seems to have admins and mods that care... unlike some servers out there.
Id like to be one of the luck two who get their own. It's Name would be called "Dark Blade" or DB for short. It would be a ruthless town of bandits and war heros. We have 1 rule, No Mercy. We have our own thieves to steal at night. We have War heros day and night guarding, until we strike. We have spies to see what other factions are doing. The other jobs are Miner, Black smith, and farm/builder. This would be a awesome can to join. We will defend to our last breath, and never, ever, give mercy. Our motto is "Put your own blade to their throat... Good Night."

Why you want to join: I've been looking for a small-ish server to play on for a while with a few friends of mine and this server seems to fit the needs perfectly.
I'd like to create a faction called the "Druids". We would be dedicated to replanting the forests of the land all across the world and killing anyone we find chopping down our beautiful forest homes or killing wild animals. Our general goal is to bring the Earth back to its once natural state. The catch would be that anyone joining this faction can only chop down trees they have planted (besides for the initial box you pretty much have to make to be successful in the game) and only when it's absolutely necessary to the progress and safety of the Druids. You also can't eat meat or wear leather, clearly.
Because yours is just a mix between Bandits and Blade's Edge. Also there is already many evil fighting factions while none good.
What if I change it up a bit?
Id like to start a faction called Iron peak. We dedicate ourselves to The God Notch, for he gives us everything. We follow Notch's word, so if he tells us to kill each other, we do, it is his word. Because we listen to Notch, many of the non religious clans are our enemies but, we have defenses. Although We are a very clean cut community, we do have a dark side. We have about 1-2 thieves to retrieve resources from our enemies. And we also are sworn enemies on Dargonoth and Blades Edge, for they seek havoc, And we want peace. But like I said, we do have our dark sides, and when it comes to fighting, we have no mercy, and we are a cut-throat army when needed, we never back down, Especially if Notch says that faction must die.

By the way, I read the posts about the new faction, but I must disagree. There are no good or bad factions. Wouldn't the Paladins want to conquer all of the forces they see as evil? Wouldn't Dagranoth want to conquer all of the forces they see as harmful to them? What's the difference?

Why you want to join: I'm looking for a nice, good server that is griefer-free and all the other "good" servers are either pay-to-play or are not good at all. I have experience in roleplaying(http://slidefuse.net, I'm arachnidsGrip over there.) and I like the idea of server-wide war. I have a great interest in building megabuilds and I'd like to see a server where I can build one without it being destroyed by a bunch of griefers.

Derse's speciality: Derse is a faction of currency, trading and war. It should have A LOT of trading posts, shops and company buildings.
Why it should be added: It should be added as a faction because it's usually hard to find a shop selling/trading the resources/items you want and there should be a whole faction based on that, it would be helpful for builders who don't have time to mine everything.
