I run a community SMP server and it seems to still be chewing through a fair bit of RAM even after the dec 1 memory improvements. Does anyone know if this is a current priority to improve? I have had to shut down other servers to free up RAM just so our addicts don't realize there's a world outside of Minecraft.
Is there a way I can determine how much RAM I should expect the server to consume? I imagine there's many ways it _could_ work, but as to how it is calculated in reality is really based on the server design.

Thanks.
