A bunch of us have been discussing options to move forward through Teamspeak3 tonight and here's a list of changes we came up with. I just want to get some feedback.
~ Re-roll the map. Completely. Have Renluda as the central starter town, but increase it's size by 4-6x.
~ Make the world completely open PVP, but disable PVP for Renluda and the surrounding areas
~ Limit the explorable size by a 2500 block radius around Renluda (The current map size is over 600mb compressed)
~ Keep the same economy system (Maybe adjust some values)
~ Make Renluda the "Casual Players" Haven. Public Forges, Shop, hospital, safe haven from monsters.
~ Allow players to use tiff to purchase an account upgrade to allow them to go out into the "Wildlands" and start their own "Town" of a pre-defined size.
~ Player towns in the Wildlands are open PVP, and using a plugin I found, allows them to use game mechanics to be protected, unless two towns declare war on eachother. ((Towny Plugin))
We are currently "down" due to the patch update and 2 of the admins being at the hospital. The other admin is still at work and wont be home til around 8pm. We will get everything up running again as soon as possible.
Shutting down the server for tonight. After the update, we got it running everything was fine, except creepers. Which spawn in town. And blow our **** up. I first thought "Sure, what the hell. I'll let people have fun tonight watching creepers blow all their **** up and load it back in the morning from a backup when a plugin updates to disable creepers" so I went to go find the latest hourly backup.
The server hasn't made a new backup since yesterday.
So until I talk to neXeon to get the automated complete-server backups up and running again, AND we get a plugin to disable creeper explosions (At least inside Renluda) then it'll be down simply because I can't make automated backup thingie work.

friendly admins, fair rules, and lots of stuff to do.
Honestly, this server makes minecraft into a real game, instead of a "who can build the biggest castle"
lots of fun, gave up WoW to play more on this server.
(as you can tell, I like this server a lot)
and as a bonus if you say "Hellak sent me" you will get the above access for free.
(yes I know its normally free but it should cost money, its that good)
already had an eventfull first morning with more or less 10 people on, so more people means more fun!! wish i could play more but i got a boss and all and he doesn't like fun :/ lol
We now have a Newbie Area where people can mine and build in peace without fear of being slaughtered at any moment. We also have a PVP area where war and slaughter are HIGHLY encouraged!!! Come join us!!
