Please reply with any that you find that aren't listed. This will help everyone.
I have not rented from all of the below and cannot make claims to quality/etc.
However, please feel free to discuss the below companies (reviews/experiences/etc...) in this thread.
**This list and discussion will NOT include VPS's**
Please post more in this thread as you see them and I will consolidate them into the first post. Even if they company has started their own thread. This will make it easier for the community to browse.
Please also post discussion about the companies here, including your experience/reviews/etc...
It currently takes about 20 minutes during daylight hours but our we can only set up servers during those hours currently with our hosting centers. We are working hard to have a pool of servers ahead of time to set up as soon as possible and not wait for our hosting centers to open again in the morning.
We are also working on the web control panel and currently list the status, server alias and ip on there but will have restart, upload map and server admin features up within the week.
We now have our first iteration of the web admin up and running. It is available on all the server types and is rolled out to our current users already.
As of right now on the web admin you can:
- Start, Stop and Restart your server
- Change the server settings and apply them (Monsters, Public, Max Players, Verify Names)
We have also integrated the google maps overview plugin (http://github.com/brownan/Minecraft-Overviewer) in our medium and large servers. (We limit it to those servers because rendering the tiles puts too much load on the small machine if its already running the game server)
Multiplay are now hosting minecraft servers. Starting from £6.40 to £8 a month (depending on amount of months hired) for 8 slots, going all the way up to 24 slots.
Im currently renting an 8 slot server, going quite well. Expeiencing a slight amount of lag, however multiplay's customer support is VERY good (reply within a couple of minutes in office hours) and they are currently looking into it.
Since a lot of hosters are overseas at this moment this will be great for Dutch/European users. With the continuous development on SMP we'll be watching the updates close and keep our servers up to date. Offcourse support of people who also play multiplayer MineCraft ;-)
so I've been travelling and editing / updating the post on my cell phone... and I thought I saw a new host company last night while pinchin a loaf in the bathroom at a restaurant, but didn't have enough time to edit....
point is... please help with a link/etc to anything you all see so we can keep our little directory here updated.
it should help both users/renters and the companies. (ie the whole community)
