This is exactly what you though it was. It's a D&D RP except with a dungeon master! How it works, is that there will be a dungeon master (ops, preferably) and then a group of adventurers. The dungeon master will probably be situated above, watching over there every move, and manipulating the environment as they go along with their quest/dungeon/etc.
I know some of you would think it's kinda nerdy, but it's okay in my mind, and some others.
How to Play
To go on a quest or adventure, I'd like to have an adventure suited more towards parties, than lone adventurers, so you can adventure in parties of 2-5. I can allow SOME exceptions, but those will be rare.
Character Creation
Right now, if you're thinking to yourself, "Man, I'd love to play this, but I just don't know how to make a character!" then you're in luck! Click here to access a character builder program! It's safe, don't worry! To get your character on the list of players, just e-mail the character file to me at [email protected] and make sure your characters are legit. We are also using 4th edition rules.
Time Slots
Since you have your character created, and a party formed, you'd probably want to arrange a time slot, so that a dungeon master can be on at the same time as your party! You can post "arrange [timeslot]" and I'll update the main post with that slot. After that, we can get a dungeon master to DM for that session. I'd like to keep in somewhat contained, in having only one party on the server at times.
Combat and Dungeon Crawling
Now, once you're in the server, you'll probably be wondering, "HOW DOES I KILL DRAGON" and there is a simple answer to that. Thanks to cMss, we'll be using dice rolling to determine damage. 1 being a miss, 2-5 being a hit, and 6 being a critical strike. DM will also have you collecting loot on the way, and other rewards, such as quests, beast slaying and much more.
Aftermath
After your raid/dungeon run/quest/whatever, the DM will report back to Iguana and post everyone's wins or losses, and whatever loot they have earned, so it's advised that all DM's have some sort of text editor open, so that they can track everything down.
Becoming a DM
Now, after some long raids, you're probably equipped with the best stuff and getting bored, so you want to start being a DM. Well, how DM's are chosen, is well have practice runs with you as a DM, and deem you worthy or not. Simple as that.
That's basically it! Now, start forming up some parties! This thread allows for party recruitment, and such. Reserve some time slots, and get starting dungeon raiding!
I admit this sounds pretty awesome, I've never played D&D I'm not geeky enough. However, your current method of applying is long winded and I don't feel so inclined to go through with it. May I suggest a custom application that generates a code which you can stick in a post, then you grab the code, run it through another app and spit out a verified character profile from that?
I'd be happy to flex my programming muscles (however weak). I'd just need a list of items you want in the game. Etc.
What do you mean by that? So a program, that you make your character, and at the end, it shows some long digit code, and then I place that into my program, and load everyone's character that way?
The character builder already has something like that. Just save the character file and send it to me.
If that's not what you mean, then just tell me here. :tongue.gif:
I'd certainly give it a shot, but it would mean basically... writing an entire items list etc. And I don't know how many items D&D has but I'd predict... a lot.
Healing is similar to attacking, with the use of rolling. 1 is failed to heal, 2-5 is normal healing, the higher the more HP is healed, and 6 is a full heal.

Well I'm too stupid to code for ****, so feel free to do that for me? :tongue.gif:
DM's will just give out items when they start.
Default armor and weapons, and during dungeons, they'll find more.
Really, all you need is classes, and races.
Healers with -very- little health.
>_>
And..
Actually..
Yeah..
How does that system include hp?
O.e
No, THIS IS PATRICK
