This is a guide for New Atluria, a roleplaying sever, and is being expanded frequently.
= General Rules and Courtesy =
- The admins/OPs of New Atluria are Isak, Niburu, MajorAsylum and Saer.
- For out-of-character discussion in-game, surround your sentence in parentheses, or use our off-game chat channel.
- Don't say more than you need to. New Atluria has many players, so we need to limit how much we post in-game.
- While you can build a home, ask permission from an OP before building. Just like in real life, you can't build wherever you like. An easier alternative is to join a guild, which will provide housing for you.
= Professions =
When you first arrive, you'll need a profession. These are the current professions in New Atluria, with a note as to their availability.
Lumberjack - Lumberjacks cut down trees for wood, and can create wooden structures with the wood. [ AVAILABLE ]
Farmer - Farmers harvest plants like cotton and flowers ( for coloring cotton ), but do not create resources. [ AVAILABLE ]
Miner/Blacksmith - Miners are the only people who collect resources like gold ore, stone, and iron ore. They can also craft these items and make things like cobblestone, gold, and steel. [ NOT AVAILABLE ]
Craftsman - Craftsman do not collect resources, but instead improve upon them. They can create cotton, build furniture, color cotton, and discover new inventions. Craftsman meet at the Temple of Wauter. [ NOT AVAILABLE]
Citizens - Citizens do whatever is asked of them for payment. A great choice for people who don't have a preferred profession, or are brand new. [ AVAILABLE ]

= Geography and Guilds =
The two main islands that are occupied are known as Atluria Island and Krisma Island. They are connected by a wooden bridge, and have separate guilds. Atluria Island contains the main town, while all people spawn on Krisma Island. There are still several islands that have yet to be explored!
- Guilds
There are three main guilds in New Atluria. You can join one, depending on your chosen profession.
The Miners Guild is headed by MajorAsylum and LucanC. It is near the bridge between Krisma Island and Atluria Island, and is located on Atluria Island, away from the town. It is a camp of stone homes, pits of mined material and the Grand Mine.
The Temple of Wauter is headed by Isak, and is the guild for craftsmen. Located in the heart of town, it has a large double cross at it's entrance, and is certainly the most elaborate guild in New Atluria. The rites of passage have become something of legend here.
The Lumber Camp is located on Krisma Island, and is made of wooden shacks surrounding a large pit of logs. It it one of the friendliest guilds, and has the most members. It has no definite leader.

Oh, and you should note that IPs get logged. Therefore, joining with a secondary account after a ban is useless, as that one will be banned too.
And that ((, (, (), or (()) is OOC.
And Farmers are available, there is only Grunds, and he doesn't get on often.
And Crafters is not available. There are at least 4.
This is really just the economic system basically.
I build and such depending on my skill level, and I thought that is what everyone did.
Building, as in, using less wood as my skill increases over time (more wood efficiency)
I didn't think of it as concrete numbers, since it isn't that necessary. However, supplies need to be in play, or else no building of creations should be done at all.
I'll take place as a craftsman, seeing as it's open, and it's my favorite brand of lawnmower.

My Steam ID Is: jjchrizzles
I'll be hosting it till Isak get's his Java to work.
Peace.
EDIT: Since Isak can't make a server to work on his PC, i'll host it further again.
It is up nao.
I am able to host it, if you don't want to.
I got my firewall opened up and everything.
I tested a private server, however, I hope I am able to switch what port it is on if necessary.
Yeah, it won't happen, i'll let Saer host it then.
Saer, if you'd be so friendly to e-mail me with your MSN or whatever alright? So I can transfer the stuff to you.
Two things:
Yes I will do it,
and what is Isak's problem? It sounds like a problem I had as well. Where it says "java' is not a command"? If that isn't it, well, I tested my server skills with Asylum.
No its not, I can't join, looks like a problem on your side, getting the generic "Looks like the servers down" message.
It is up, people come and go.
Right now there is no one to really watch the server, so I may need to shut it down for a while.
Edit: For some reason, for some people it works... I dont know why, but it just stops working sometimes.
I need to figure that out : /
There is no reason behind it at all. I have my ports forwarded and opened, ready to go.
I am trying to make it work consistantly, but there seems to be nothing I can really do.
The only thing I may be curious about is... what is port triggering exactly?
Saer, there's a nice 'how to do dang near everything' thread here but I don't really know what this 'Port Triggering' is. Why do you ask?
I had the ports open a while ago, and that isn't the problem
Now, I have this fun game called Warcraft III
It only works if the ports are opened/forwarded, as far as hosting games.
Now, it works and everything.
Now, I used the same port, and all, from Warcraft III for the server, and yet it wont let people join.
I turned off all of my firewalls, and yet it still wont work.
I checked and tried everything possible on my router too, but it still wont work.
I put a lot of effort into this, but one thing I know it is not a problem with my router, but my computer.
Double Post
I cannot host a server for some reason anymore.
I opened up the ports and everything, opened up the firewall, tried reinstalling java, all of it doesnt work. I am gonna keep asking IRC and such for help, but I am not going to rely on chance anymore.
Asylum, Niburu told me to send you the server, so I will. I don't know how exactly, but reply back here and we will sort this out.
