I'm thinking that I may create a server that doesn't broadcast on the server list for my regulars to be assured that no griefing can take place there. However, there's always a weak spot in something like that. If I give out the link to people, they can then give it to others. Doesn't make for a very secure game!
So, I basically thought that I could make a little script that reads the connect info of the people who join, and if the username isn't on an allow list, they get kicked pretty much instantly. However, I'm not sure this is the best way to go about it, or if these sort of actions aren't really in the theme of the game. So, I'd like your opinion on it. Perhaps you've already done the same?
EDIT: Basically, a whitelist instead of a blacklist.
I wouldnt make that list because then what obout people who arent griefers and are decent builders that you dont know. they could contribute to the server. what you should do is have a low maount of maximum people in the server like 10 and make sure you have plenty of ops (around 4). whenever someone joins the server someone watches them for awhile and makes sure there cool. spawn prison when there are little or no ops.
