FIXED!!!!thanks to

Ok so ever since the update I cent get on minecraft.net. I can play my game regualar from desktop and it connects there but when I type in minecraft.net in the URL it takes like 5 minutes to lad and then when it does it comes up like this:
Now if I click in browser or any other link it says cannot display webpage. I tried contaction notch and the support several times and I got nothing. I really wish to play minecraft again so any help is welcome.
P.S. my internet connection is great I dont have a problem with any other sites and I have even tried on 3 other computers in my house with no luck at all.
THINGS I HAVE TRIED
changing my browser: I have tried Firefox, Google Chrome, and even Opera.
Cleared DNS cache
Cleared browsing history and cookies.
Completely shut off antivirus/ popup blocker and changed my privacy and security all the way down.
Completely bypassed the DNS cache for minecraft.
Updated Java
My guess would be that you have some form of spyware/malware on your system. They tend to mess with the proper operation of internet explorer. Try downloading and running a full scan with Malwarebytes Antimalware (it's free) and see if you can connect after that.

thanks for the suggestion but I had already tried that my computer is clean. hmm what else can it be.
also when i try to use SMP it says logging in and then "disconected from server, took to long to log in." but if i try serveral times I will eventually get into the server.

Ok so I deleted cookies/history didnt work. reset my router still no go. ran malwarebytes for the third time and no malicous items. then I went and tried firefox, nothing. AOL nothing.
What else do I do?
(Edit) ok so I got it working on 1 of the 3 desktops in my house but it is the one that runs the slowest I mean come on...(Edit)
If you have an Ad-blocker/banner-blocker running, that may also be your cause. I use Kaspersky and if I have it block banner ads, some websites show up like that.

Does this happen on every website or just minecraft?
EDIT:
Ok sorry I didn't read the last part of your post. This is really strange because it looks like its not loading the CSS code of the page. I know its weird but trying adding www in front of the address and trying again.

I sounds to me like the DNS your Internet goes through didn't update to the new server.
Did you really attempt the previous solutions, or did you skip them and watch for an easier solution?
Mojang support most likely cannot help you with this situation, as the problem does not lie on their end, it lies on yours.
Also, I highly, highly suggest switching browsers. I know how you feel about Internet Explorer. It's what your computer came with, and it's always worked before, so you have no desire to switch. Let me tell you, however, as IE tends to be the browser of choice for every technophobe and clueless elderly person alive, it is also a prime target for malware attacks and other malicious things. Also, IE is slower than most modern browsers, and far less standards compliant, meaning fewer websites work properly in IE than other browsers.
Edit: (Wait. You tried AOL? What was that piece even doing on your machine in the first place? The only reason AOL still exists is because the grandmothers who signed up in 1997 never canceled their accounts when the rest of the Internet was ready to move on. AOL is also prime attack territory, as the elderly userbase is typically gullible to most types of attacks.)
They are all faster, safer, and more standards compliant than IE in every way, so you have no reason not to switch. Seriously, they are free.
Also, I can see you are running Windows XP. There is nothing wrong with this, except remember, Windows XP is now officially 10 years old, defunct, and unsupported. It lacks some of the nifty new security features that newer versions of Windows have. It's important to run an Anti Virus on such a machine.
You can get a decent, free, and lightweight anti virus program from Microsoft called Microsoft Security Essentials. http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/ I'm not usually someone to recommend a Microsoft program, but this one is actually very effective, well written, and not annoying. Also the impact it will have on system performance is minimal, unlike Norton or McAfee.
So these, plus clearing your DNS cache, should solve any problem you have. If that sounds like too much work, then I'm not sure what else anyone can say to you.

only minecraft i dont know whats going on. I finally got the first page to load properly but none of the links work still thanks for the link
Go to Google.
Type in "how to clear dns cache" followed by your OS. So if you're, say, running Windows 7, type in "how to clear DNS cache Windows 7"
Find some instructions in the list of results that tell you how to clear your DNS cache. Follow them.
Tada. Fixed.
good idea but unfortunatly it didnt work I think this is a lost cause im going to have to live with out minecraft for now

Get yourself a copy of Mozilla Firefox. http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/personal.html or
Google Chrome. http://www.google.com/chrome or
Opera. http://www.opera.com/
