Would add a lot of atmosphere and would allow us to use gold for something useful....Blood Gold! Used to make life regenerating armor and life stealing weapons.
Considering there have been multi-page threads on this forum dealing exclusively with exploding penises and questionably shaped tunnel openings I am surprised this would get so much negativity. But if the idea has to be kid friendly then just replace Hell with Nether, Blood with Red Water and Blood Gold with Red Gold. There, diplomacy ftw.
Kids play this game..... No rivers of blood please.

You sick, sick person. What should the next thing be, a childrens tears waterfall?
... i thought this was a pretty good idea when i first read it, but after seeing all this negativity i feel obliged to be all the more for it to even out the tables
so with that i will say: this NEEDS to be in the next update
I think it's an awesome idea, and I'd go for it, but not in Minecraft. And no, it's not because kids play it, I could care less who what age plays what.
A pretty cool idea. Unfortunately, blood doesn't emit light nearly as effectively (or humorously kill ghasts or you as effectively, for that matter.)
But what's much more interesting about this thread is how it has revealed how many soccer moms know about Minecraft. "Think of the children!" I mean, really.
= Bucket of Blood
= Blood Gold Ingot
Blowing it a bit out of proportion I think, but whatever, your opinion.
Yes.
