Hell is fine in my opinion, and christianity ripped it off from the norse gods anyway (thank you Age Of Motholgy.) It describes the place perfectly, but I think that we're going to end up having a few different names for it, like bedrock/adminnium.
Everyone's map is randomly generated, therefore everyone's hell is different and they can all call it whatever they feel it should be called.
I will call mine "the Ghast-cave"
And I shall refer to my portals as my "Ghast-warps"
Things have been renamed before.
Diamonds were originally called Emeralds. Your argument is void.
It won't happen. The community will always call it hell. Doesn't matter what Notch says. And the difference between 'hell' and 'aspergite' or 'emeralds' is that the majority of MC players don't mind calling it hell. So, get used to it.
To the OP: The elitists of this forum might continue to call it "Hell". A lot of the elitists of this forum call "Peaceful" Creative, despite the fact they are nothing alike beyond having no enemies. A lot of the elitists have a single definition of "survival" as well, reflected in the previous mention, and in your determination that "Hell" will continue to be the label of the new area, despite Notch's change.
But how much of the Minecraft player population as a whole care one way or the other? To be honest, how much of just this forum population will care one way or the other? Most players are going to call whatever's in the game the proper name given by Notch, because that name will be understood by everybody who plays the game. Assuming most players even bother keeping up with what Notch calls everything prior to having the official manuals or in-game pop-ups or tutorials.
The wiki's probably what people are going to go on the most until then. And once Notch has the official name and it goes there, that's what everyone will call it, or will refer to it as if they call it "Hell" instead and then have to describe it... and end up with the right name as intended to begin with. Much as some call Creepers "exploding penises" hurr hurr...
The only other name I might like is Otherworld.
The Deep Frontier
sounds like gay porn O_o
Oh noe's, bait

Well, you're a badger going to Alpha Centauri, you've probably got other concerns. I hope the ship is badger-sized! :biggrin.gif:
Lucky, you got a great entrance, no one welcomed me :sad.gif:
He wasn't talking about the blocks in hell.

Back in my day, sheep dropped brown mushrooms, and by golly we... Hated it, pretty much.
I cant post pictures from work, so you will just have to pretend that this bird is a urinal, and know that your argument is invalid.

My humble LPs can be found here.
And, we can still call it Hell. It's an appropriate nick name. Just like we call real places 'Hell', like East Denver. DON'T SUCK IT, OP.
