How about Hel. What, some other games did that to stop people from freaking out.

I have to say my favorite was that one guy who suggested "World 6" or "Dimension 6". Ppl would be like, "Let's portal to D6!" It's the "other" world. (Other than the other 5). So yeah.. ehehehe. WAOHSUDENOTHERIDATHATHASNOTHINGTODOWITHNAMINGTHISBUTWHATEVER What if D6 could join your singleplayer worlds?

How about The Highway.
Since you travel 16x faster in Hell, it sort-of makes sense.
And we could even go as far as to nickname it the Highway of hell :biggrin.gif:
but sent them to hell, putting them into gloomy dungeons to be held for judgment.
Gloomy dungeons. Dungeons with nothing. Just death. If one completely secludes himself from EVERYTHING with only enough to live forever and never being able to do something because somebody won't let you die, is hell.
31 times as "hell," 31 times as "grave," and 3 times as "pit." So in the "Old Testiment," the KJ version uses the word "hell" 31 times, but it interesting to note that the same Hebrew word Sheol was also translated into two other words, "grave" and "pit."
Daniel 12:2 describes the duration of hell: "Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt."
I'm not saying here that hell is death of the soul, it's just complete seclusion, nothing, nothing at all. Unless you actually read these posts then please stop trying to say you know Christianity.
# Hades - A Greek term that usually refers to hell – a place of torment (Luke 10:15; 16:23, etc.)
# Gehenna - A Greek term (borrowed from a literal burning dump near Jerusalem) that always refers to hell – a place of torment (Matthew 5:30; 23:33)
Matthew states that it's all firey, but he's referring to Gehenna, a place of eternal torment. Gehenna = hell, in a sense, but that's not christianity.
And by the way.
By the way.

Some good suggestions floating around. Keep in mind, however, that I didn't create this thread to discuss whether he keeps the name "hell" or not, just to offer suggestions if he decides to change it.
Maybe Xen . . .

I was the second person to use the avatar I have. The rest took it from me. The first I asked, he said yes.
I know what I'm doing. I plan ahead, or get tired and screw up everything.
It's short and simple. The term Hell, by its very nature, carries a lot of religious baggage with it, and IMO a game like Minecraft does not need that. The Core signifies that it is extremely deep underground, near the center of the world in an area that normally could never be accessed. It's a new environment with new materials and strange and dangerous creatures, but not some spiritual realm of damnation. Just my opinion.
Well we can't name it the abyss because that is the unoffical/offical name for what is under the bedrock or adminium. Underneath the bedrock there is a bottomless blue abyss that kills you. So no on abyss. I say underworld makes sense because that is what it is basically designed to be with all the 1=16 blocks thing. That and because the entire dimension appears to be entirely under ground anyway. We also can't call it ways because A) it looks to different from ways except on how to get and get out of there and :cool.gif: Copyright infringement.
