Here's a thread where we discuss what would utterly suck to be part of the update. Not stuff that is actually going to happen of course.
Just basically what WOULDN'T you like to see as part of this update.
Ex.) Notch gives us lanterns... but they count as fire and burn any wood they touch.
You use a portal and end up not knowing whether to dig down or up.
You can accidentally destroy your portal inside Hell and be stuck there until you die.
Lanterns count as wooden objects and will be destroyed in a fire.
You can fish now, but the fish don't do anything.
Pumpkins explode if you attack them with a sword.
By experience scarier depths, Notch means anything below layer 64 has a 100% chance of spawning enemy's anywhere on normal. On hard it's only creepers.
When Notch says less bugs online, he means that spiders will spawn less often. By implemented features, he means buckets of lava now work 100%. For griefers.
The watch requires one redstone per second whilst in your inventory.
You can find a different biomes to live in at realistic distances. Read as: hours of nonstop walking.
By better sounds he means sounds that take less memory.
By more music he means music that is in the files but isn't used.
So what would totally tick YOU off if it was in this update?

Wenn ist das Nunstück git und Slotermeyer? Ja! Beiherhund das Oder die Flipperwaldt gersput!
The watch requires one redstone per second whilst in your inventory.
Cool, now I have a use for my 9,001 chests filled with redstone.
In all seriousness, if you completely filled your inventory with 64 redstone dust and 1 watch, you would use up 2240 pieces of red stone dust to run it for only 37.67 minutes.

"Could not create the Java Virtual Machine" using the offline program? Solution to the problem: <!-- m -->http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LdSYsGR2wpI Get the JAR version, make BAT. Works on Java 1.5, too.
The worst part is if the Hell area isn't optional, if we're forced to be in it at some point. I want nothing to do with it, ever. If I can't avoid it, I'm done with MC.
While I tend to think of the lantern addition as little more than an in-game expensive torch retexture, I'm looking forward to it, to see if it really is just that, little more than a torch with more crafting time. If it is, I plan to make a video or two on how to make them, and spam them, and point out just how useless they end up being. :oP
As for the rest of the updates, I don't see how they could be too bad, beyond potential game crashes/bugs/etc that might happen if they haven't been fully tested yet.
I'm personally a little annoyed that it's a Halloween themed update coming out ON Halloween rather than before it. Kinda defeats the purpose of theme-ing it specifically for Halloween. Obviously not a huge deal, I'm just a little anal about stuff like that. Thankfully there's still the painterly texture pack to make it feel more like a Minecraft Halloween.

People like you make me want hell to be mandatory for only peaceful and easy mode.

It costs two hundred thousand redstone to fire this weapon... for twelve seconds.

He'd get more views and "likes" if he made a youtube video cocking it.

I'd be mocking the supporters of lanterns who have been saying they would be less spammable than torches. That's really been the only argument in favor of the lanterns. People seem to think spamming current torches is not only a bad thing, but shouldn't happen. And they have said lanterns would be the way to curb this. However, I feel lanterns will most likely end up being little more than in-game expensive retexures for current torches, and if that's the case, then yes, I will mock them. If the only change from what we have now is a different item look, and spending more time on the crafting screen, they should be mocked.
And YouTube is merely an easy method to publish the video, should I make it. I could care less whether it gets likes/dislikes and/or views. I'd be making the video for these forums, not for YT. Those strictly from YT who watch it though would hopefully find it a useful tutorial on how to make lanterns and in the process, never use a torch again. :oP
As to lanterns being challenging resulting in stopping play of MC, that will depend on the materials required, and what if anything different the lanterns can do that current torches can't. If the lanterns can't do anything beyond current torches and are absurdly expensive in material, it's a punishment for the player, not a reward. And yes, that may be enough to quit playing MC for me. I play games to have fun, not to be annoyed to no end. Relighting torches ad nauseum is annoying. Uber-restricting the only work around for that, i.e. lanterns, would be equally annoying if they do nothing different than what we have now.
... And before ending MC, I'd probably make a video in that regard mocking that travesty as well. Though should that come to pass, I at least have faith in Notch to fix it before the week's out.

What halloween skins?
If you want a halloween skin you have to download it, the normal skin from minecraft will not change in this update, it'll only add more textures.
Just basically what WOULDN'T you like to see as part of this update.
Ok, this is bugging me. You should have written it "what you wouldn't like to see" instead of "what wouldn't you like to see."
Your original post means the exact opposite of what you were trying for.

You never have to go into the hell zone but there will be block types that will ONLY be found inside the zone. So if you are fine with never using anything that comes from the hell zone (which might be lanterns and other very important objects/block types) then you really never have to use the hell zone.
In all seriousness though you might as well just leave the game though because hell seems like it is going to be a VERY important part of the game starting at the end of the month and it is going to be here to stay.

Genius,this,oh this.
Super-powerful creepers spawning near bedrock and exploding, creating a giant hole into the void that you fall into.
And you make me want to slit your throat.
Ah go to Hell!
