~Mobs from Hell That Only Spawn in Hell~
Stone Warriors - Stone Warriors have a pedestal made of stone for their lower half and the top half looks like a player with a chest plate and helmet with a Double Edged Battle Axe. They spawn exactly on a block space. While looking at them, they appear to be completely normal Hell scenery like the other Stone Warrior Statues(common around hell) that release a gas that hurts you when they are destroyed with a pickax. But when you turn around, you hear a small sound that's like stone jumping up and slamming down on the ground towards you, when you turn around they will see the statue is hopping towards you and then the statue can not be hurt with arrows, it has the same health as a player, and it will drop some cobble stone after being killed. These mobs are the same skin file as the Statues and can be destroyed like all the Statues, except the game selects one of two options for the statue and sets the statue being a mob true or false when the statue is rendered. Once the statue is rendered on the map, even if its a mob, it will never despawn due to it being out of render distance because Its also part of the map.
Demons - These red skin winged creatures roam the plains of hell. Once they see you, they will start moving towards you. If they come across and hole, lava, or there is nothing there for them to stand on, they will start to fly towards you. They are generally a smart mob, which is why they fly over lava. If you are behind some lava, they will try to find a way around.
~Hell Scenery That Decorates Hell~
Stone Warrior Statue - These statues are quite common around hell and release a harmful gas when destroyed. The reason they look like the Stone Warriors is for the soul purpose of disguising the Stone Warriors and the Gas inside them is to stop people from going around destroying every statue they see in fear that it may harm them, taking away 3 hearts, where the Stone Warriors only do 1 heart after hitting.
But seriously. Our concerns about running out of lava, ever, are completely over. Maybe we'll find some more interesting volcanic rock. Lots of Obsidian. I think a Hell specific mob or two would be a requirement.
Hey, what if there were Hell Dungens. These would have chests in them that would be guarded by like 4 Weeping Angles and like 10 Demons. Out of the chest you get like some rare ****.
Well I think there should be only one monster. It's incredibly dangerous and hunts you as soon as you warp to the world. That would make the world much more scary and risk taking.

Muncher is right, listen to him, he can cure the blind and make paraplegics walk.

Personally, I want new monsters in hell, but I don't want for there to be tons of them and be all over you, like some people seem to want. The Machin Shin seems awesome, you wouldn't see it coming, and then all of a sudden you're dead. It would add danger to using the Hell region, but not make it so you die every time you go in. If I'm going to go to my tree farm that's a chunk or two away, I don't want to repeatedly die just from the monsters that spawn there. It would make the Hell region have -too- much risk, for not that much gain.

I believe, seeing as the hell is going to be based on The Ways (or whatever), I think most likely there will be a Weeping Angel mob. Most likley not looking like a Weeping Angel, due to copyright.
I also thing there should be a flying creature, although not demonic. Maybe some sort of crow, or bat?
Well for one. It probably wouldn't be named Weeping Angle. Maybe Its a stone pedestal with half a suit of armor made of stone on it, holding an axe. The pedestal being like the lower half of the mob. Updated Main Post.
I see why the normal Stone Warrior statues do damage when destroyed, but it's not clear to me why they do more damage than the Stone Warrior itself? I also think the "living" Stone Warriors should be harder to kill than just mining out their block while they're helpless.

And explaining how blinking at weeping "angles" is A-OK.
