I would actually welcome a really rare candyland biome. of course it would be very small, and no monsters could spawn there. candycanes would grow like trees and we can only grow them in snowy places. We can eat them or use them like sticks.
Well Notch has talked about making the skies and underground infinite, and there was a thread around here somewhere that showed an easy way to solve the problem of chunks above and below existing chunks, so i think floating islands in chunks above the earth would be epic, with each island its own mini biome.
what about dreamland? mix of all the different biomes, in flying islands. each island a different biome. something for everyone! :biggrin.gif: it would solve the problem of people wanting all of the above, and be completely epic in every way. imagine... a rainforest floating rock... volcanoe flying above a candyland island... a desert on the bottom... epic, no? if notch did this, all he would have to do is make friendly creepers and everything would be right in the world.
I don't think "rainforest" is a very good biome idea. There's a huge spread in what a rainforest can look like. A tropical rainforest biome would be fun. A temperate rainforest biome would be so-so, especially if you had a "dense forest" biome as well. [/nitpick]
Candyland would be great. Barring that, I'll take anything that's not snow.
I want to see more gradual changes in the terrain, like very large areas of flattish plains, and mountains that take a very long time to climb and take up a large area. At the moment there are gorgeous landmarks worth naming, but they are too frequent.
I want to see biomes where more than just the landscape changes. I want to see different mobs inhabiting different regions, and I also wouldn't mind seeing different physics laws. For example, floating islands may ONLY be possible in the floating island biome, and as you go towards the outskirts of it, blocks have a higher and higher percentage chance of falling out of the sky.
I noticed Swampland wasn't in your poll. I doubt it will be added but I really hope someday we get something like it.
Imagine crocodile mobs to boot! :biggrin.gif:

The more Swiss cheese you have, the more holes you have.
The more holes you have, the less Swiss cheese you have.
Therefore, the more Swiss cheese you have the less Swiss cheese you have.
I would find the plain biome boring if it was just flat ground. How about a savanna with tall grass and some dangerous mob - not scary, but naturally dangerous like lions and charging rhinos. Safari time! It doesn't fit with the Halloween theme at all, but one can dream...

I really hope the cave systems change with biomes, so for example rainforest caverns will have grass and vines growing around the place, volcano/lava areas would have... well, lots of lava, and desert caverns could be full of desert sand and stuff.
along with colored leaves and leaves on the grass.
There's lollypop trees and a lemonade sea!
OHGOD YES
CANDIED ISLAND

I need a good open spot to build on besides the ocean :tongue.gif:
Rainforest sounds good too though.

Yeah - it seems like Rainforests are pretty high demand :tongue.gif:

If swamps = dense trees growing in water and lots of scary mobs, with the occasional underwater cave to fall into, then I agree!
Now, all we need is a mud block...
Yeah...No love for the wetlands...:c
Anyway, I'd like any kind of marshy or wet biome. Since swamp wasn't an option, I voted rainforest.

Cause that would be awesome, I doubt it though >.>
