I voted hell yeah because my main save got bugged out so whenever i went on it it crashed so i made a new one but barely played on it but when i learned more about the update i stopped playing it so i wouldnt get attached so now i have no problem starting a new save
Yes I'll start over but I just started a world that has the best world that I've seen so far so I'll likely keep playing that too unless a world gets generated that makes me just as giddy.
Out of my two saves, I am really "attached" tpo one of them. Thus, I WILL be starting over, however I will just transfer the items over using a map edit or by using a map edit and deleting every but my base and tower. Then, after I create the new chunks, I am just going to grab 4-6 things I need and wander into the sunset for three days and nights to create a new base where ever that put me.
I would...
Well, I have 2 free worlds at the moment, so I won't REALLY start over...
And I always have the option to backup my world to somewhere else, with my new 1,5TB hdd. :biggrin.gif:
Anyone can backup there map even if they only had a 40gb hard drive you mentioning that you have a 1.5TB is just to brag. I am sure lots of people on here have more storage including myself. But we don't brag about having more space then we could ever need.
Restart imminent. I can't wait for the new stuff even though it sounds game breaking depending on how you look at it. My world is pretty small anyways and is essentially just a small strip mine and a tiny floating castle.
I really hope notch makes it so when you place torches (Which will be converted to lanterns) You can't break them and pick them back up. Like how glass works. My reason for this is (And i'm sure many of you are going to do this) Is people will make a giant room, fill it with torches and then bassicly cheat to get all of the lanterns, mainly because they can't enjoy the game for the way it is.

But yeah, I'm making a new world.
Just out of curiosity, that matters to you... why? O.o
I'm not saying I'm on their side or anything. I'm just curious as to why this matters at all. Is it really because someone else might do that, or do you want the change so that you can't? How does what someone else does impact your game?
Take me, for example. I find custom texture pack use to be extremely annoying. Anytime I see someone using one of those to change the look of the game, I can't help but want to strangle them. But it doesn't impact MY game in the slightest, so I don't see why my dislike for them should impact their game at all.
I just... don't get it. Same with the whole "torch spamming" thing. I can understand how someone might not like or approve of that, but what does it matter in the end? You can simply NOT do it. I mean, let's be honest. If someone really wants to spam any item in the game, they will. If they can't easily make the item in the game, they'll use INVedit.
I mean, the very same people against torch spamming will add in hundreds of TNT and use that like crazy. So... yeah. Anyway. Whatever.
