I was under the impression that only "ban lists" weren't allowed.
Because a list of people someone claims do bad things is somehow different from a list of people they've banned? Both have the same problem: they aren't verifiable and thus can only lead to strife and unhappiness.
Grieflist are perfectly acceptable - have a problem with a grief list? Don't grief.
Not all griefers are banned. I personally post who's unwhitelisted from my server on our SMP thread and for what reason. If you don't like it you can just deal with it.

This, especially since what constitutes griefing can be completely arbitrary and vary from server to server. Posting such a thread on the official forums is probably a bad idea. It would be better to post it on the forums for a particular niche set of server admins, who like to play the game a certain way and all have a generally agreed on idea of what they should grief-list people for, and for how much time they spend on those grief-lists.
I believe the definition of "griever" here is entirely up for debate. Playstyle is too often used as an excuse to label somebody a griever. If you have issues with playing with somebody, keep it to yourself and your server admin. Posting faulty logic lists that the public can see is liable to have you become the target of the squad.
