Im not sure what to call it but What about a mailbox?
Like a universal chest that when you put resources in it after waiting a complete day they all transfer to a mega chest that you can put anywhere on your map. This would make mining easier if you want to just mine away for an hour and cannot hold all of the stuff you just mine. Then all you do is go to your mega chest and poof... all your stuff is there waiting for you to build something hudge...
