Its about 3-4 inches long, black, and has a strange mouth I have never seen before.
Sadly, it is heavily damaged. The legs have been severed on the first knee (they get thin, 1 leg is stuck to its body). Its stinger looks like it has been removed already, a little strand of stuff comes out.
It doesnt appear to have any body segments either...
I'm really interested in this. I kinda want to see what hellspawn you have brutalized to bring to the internet. Just kidding, but really, how did that kind of damage occur?

My mom brought it home from kmart. Her co-workers found it and lured it onto tape. It is currently inside a little tape bag where it sufficated.

No, really, that sounds pretty close to a hornet. Unless if you mean it's really a bee, but it just looks weird.

Im looking for the wire to get the pictures onto my computer.
Its a bee, hornets/wasps have flexable body segments and are thin. This thing is thick.
Definitly a bee.
Nowhere is safe...
Well, you might want to get it checked out with a professional. Doesn't sound like anything I've ever seen.

They are like this only
shell-ier, right?EDIT: Nevermind, you mentioned no shell.
Thats horrible. They should all feel bad, I mean unless it damaged someone.

No. This has transparent wings that go along its back. Its also 3-4 inches long and has pollen in its hair.
It's a bee.
It has a lifespan of like, 2 months.
Actually, we don't know what it is. It could have a lifespan of all eternity.
... But seriously, most insects live for less than a year after becoming an adult. Not much to worry about.

It doesnt look from the western world. Im guessing it came all the way from Africa in a crate of something.
First thought is radioactive mutant bee.
It Begins.
