Easy mode much? My school is ahead and we don't get crap. In fact, we have many people taking APs as sophomores and Calculus BC (AP Calculus) junior year. I hate my school.
At my university, they drop the lowest mark on an assignment or test at the end of the term. It's out of fairness, as everybody has their off days, and your one failure shouldn't outweigh your personal growth in the class and drag down your achievements. If you're truly a straight A-student, then receiving this mark would be a fluke, I'm assuming.
Also, this is University of Toronto I'm talking about here. No easy mode there. And I'm not sure if it applies to every course, but it does for at least that ones I am taking currently.
Congratulations. My girlfriend dumped me because her parents don't want her dating and beat her often. Feel happy now? Of course not.
Girls are distractions. Worry about them after college (considering you are still in school, which is my assumption, seeing as her parents still have a say in her life)
They started the advanced math program at my middle school that i went to a year after me, guess that means that i have to take AP Calculus senior year like all the other semi smart douchebags.

Better than staying home all day listening to music and watching youtube.
My school starting this program where you if you failed a class and missed a credit, the next year you could pay 50$ for a computer class and retake the material you failed and make up your missed credit
the computer program was SO easy, and most people finished it within 2-3 weeks leaving them a whole semester to do nothing but sit in an audit class, which gave you an ADDITIONAL credit....for doing nothing

people were failing classes on purpose..
My school has a similar program but it's like $150 instead of $50

Our classes are just hard. If you fail, you retake. I know a junior taking Geometry and a bunch of Juniors taking Calc, quite odd. I'm smart with math, just very lazy. I would probably be in precalc H as a sophomore right now if I tried harder in middle school to get into Algebra 2H. Then we have WHAP (World History AP), which causes people to get 30 minutes of sleep, me, being the smart one, opted out and did honors.
Wow seriously? This right here proves why we need to get our funding back into schools! That or make public schools more stricter in regulations. Unless you go to a private school then same on them.

Lets not get into an economic talk. There's a lot of things the schools could do to get better funding (ie treating teachers and other workers as if in the private sector, abolishing the teachers union, better budgeting, etc.), but we are talking about schools themselves. And I don't think money makes schools get better grades. Its the effort put in by the students.

I know the students put in no effort but another problem is that some teachers aren't just there because they love teaching but because of higher pay. Trust me all my life every teacher I had was there because they wanted to be there. How do I know? Simple I go to a catholic school where our teachers willing get payed as much a garbage man and choose to stay. Just to give you some numbers: Average teachers Salary - around $40,000 a year Garbage Man - about $30,000 (verified also by looking up average Catholic Teaching salary)

When I got my test back today i got a 57....
Which is an F....
But my school is so far ahead of other ones in our county, I'm allowed to remove one grade from each class that I find unappealing.
I love my school

Thinking about coming a mod to simply not moderate.
EDIT: Sorry. I like to dump my problems on other people. (regathers thoughts)

My grading scale goes as:
100-95 = A
94-85 = B
84-75 = C
74-65 = D
64-0 = F
[39-0] = ECP (Explain the cause of the problem which made you get this grade)
A- 90-100
B- 80-89
C- 70-79
D- 60-69
F- 59 and below
Nothing special, except all my teachers will round up your grade if you are border line.
