wow,I think the team is not doing right Minecraft is getting boring updating versions that add a few things, updates bring true ENOUGH things, such as version 1.7.2 and most modders have to update every hour, every time!. This is annoying!
If you're worried about updates breaking your mods, DON'T UPDATE! It's really that simple! You play your modded version, and allow us vanilla players to enjoy the update. Don't try to force your way of playing on everybody else. Some of us appreciate the free updates.

"Strong Pokémon. Weak Pokémon. That is only the selfish perception of people. Truly skilled Trainers should try to win with the Pokémon they love best."
Brilliant. Except you're now cut off from 99% of MP servers. Where patches go, almost everyone goes. We don't have much of a choice.
So 99% of servers that want to play the update should be held back to suit the remaining 1%? Or how about you start your own no-update server. That way your 1% can be happy without affecting the rest of us.

No they don't update as soon as possible. We kept our servers to 1.6.4 until some mods got updated. There are hundreds of servers out there running 1.4, 1. and 1.6 versions depending on the mods.
Heck, most servers can't update until at least a base experimental build of Bukkit as well as extensions come out.
wow,I think the team is not doing right Minecraft is getting boring updating versions that add a few things, What's wrong with that? God forbid we get bug fixes and not a giant game changing heap of content. If every update was like that, that's what Minecraft would become. A giant trash heap.
updates bring true ENOUGH things, such as version 1.7.2 How is Mojang not adding enough stuff to the game every few months to your preference, their problem? A lot of us would rather have a small fleshed out update with bug fixes rather than a giant haul. Not every update needs to be huge.
and most modders have to update every hour, every time!. This is annoying! Really? I found a solution to this problem! It's called don't update.
Complaining about the same pointless issue.
Every update gives as much as possible. Modders are just going to have to deal with it.

You don't. It changes automatically with post count.
If you are sick of constantly waiting for mod makers to update to the newest version than here's a tip:
Do not update your Minecraft client with these "unnecessary' updates since obviously you don't need it and keep your modded version.
Simples.
