I personally think they should change skels and zombies to not swim in water but just walk on the bottom unless you get in range and agro them. This would make undead popping out of rivers and oceans quite unexpected and water a little more scary.

Then they'd have to be unable to drown (or else you could easily defeat zombies and skeletons by leading them into water). Which I have no problem with, but would stir the ire of thousands of mob trappers.

Make note: I generally avoid being insulting. If I sound insulting, I'm probably joking.

Thats my point, why should an undead creature be able to drown anyway. Very few people actually use drowning traps anymore anyway. It's fairly slow to kill mobs and most people want xp and some rare drops as a bonus.
It would be fairly easy to do. Soulsand already comes close. So do webs. They could literally just make a block model of the old webs, you know, when webs dealt suffocation damage? That would be tight, and great for mapmakers. Maybe if you arranged sand blocks like this, you could get quicksand:
Spider Jockeys seem so rare that I wonder why in the world they're even there. Like Magma Cubes and Slimes, these should be DRAMATICALLY less rare. They seem bloody pointless as they are now. I've seen maybe 4 of them ever since they were implemented, and I play this game quite alot.
There is no quick sand in minecraft (yet), that is just a mob clipping error. I see it happening to chickens all the damn time, and it isn't just from sand.
The zombies carrying stuff is neat, since you can see the rare drops zombies hold before they drop them. It also adds more diversity to mobs, which is a plus, if you ask me, even if they are tougher to fight.
The 3 spider jockeys in one night is pretty impressive. I've only seen a few here and there. Perhaps the spawn rate has been upgraded? If it was, then it should be. Spider Jockeys are too rare anyway.
And uh, the quicksand was just mobs screwing around. They've been doing because of a glitch. It's pretty annoying. ;P

They're dead. Why would they drown? They don't even breathe. It's only logical to make them immune to drowning and to hell with mob trappers.
Zombies waving shovels and swords around is just scary.
I know that spider sockeys are not new, but three in one night? (The other two weren't pictured, had despawned by the time I re-found them)
As well as quicksand. What's next? Some sort of three-headed boss monster?

I tried it with terrible results. I gave my wife my glasses for a second, a creeper showed up and now my wife is pregnant.
Stupid 3D..
It's not very common to find 3 of those in one night...On singleplayer...

Yes it is.
In Beta 1.4, I saw 6 in one night.
I have only seen 1 since. It is random.

Sand Sand Sand
Air Air Air
Sand Sand Sand
...but that's just like, my opinion, man.
Good find on that jockey!
