Would you please get the hell off my thread? You're really starting to tick my off here. All you've been doing since Day 1 of when I posted this thread is attacking it. If you really hate classic that much make your own damn thread and complain about it there. Jesus do you have no life or something?? Because all you seem to do is attack every SINGLE person here. I wouldn't be surprised if 1\5 of these replys were yours attacking the other 4/5's.... Like seriously all you do is reply to every single sentence every person says.
Yes, that's a widely preferred method of discussion on these forums. Your violent abjection to anything people who disagree with you say and your rejection of every point they make, regardless of the actual truth to the claim is very selfish. You don't care about the factors making re-adding classic an impossibility, all you care about is getting classic back.

I do listen to both sides, it's just when someone does nothing but to try and bring this topic down (AKA InfoTeddy) that it's driving me nuts. I understand people don't like classic and don't care at all. But that was directed towards a single user. Not towards anyone who disagrees. I can understand if you don't like it, but this dude has had some smart **** troll reply to everything anyones said in favor of classic.
Also Classic is still around. This thread is directed towards trying to save classic multiplayer being removed altogether. With the removal of the link on the homepage NEW players won't know about it and won't bother to look for it. You had to of played classic before all this crap with mojang messsing with it happened to understand and actually care.

You're right, I did play classic as a demo version for about a week before buying it. But that was almost two and a half years ago. Today, classic doesn't function well as a demo for two fundamental reasons.
It doesn't represent modern minecraft and hasn't ever since late alpha.
Admittedly, it's too fun. Potential buyers are more likely to stay playing classic than they are to buy the full game than they would with the new demo.
Mojang didn't host their own servers. So Mojang wouldn't lose anything if classic is added back. Same goes to you.
You don’t seem to understand how not paying for Classic is making Mojang lost profit.
Mojang pays the server owners to host their servers, right? Skin servers, website servers, login servers, etc.
Now, the more data Mojang wants the server owner to host, the more they have to pay.
They pay an amount of money to the server owners depending on the traffic. (Views of a webpage count as traffic.) This makes them lose money.
They get more money than what they lost by selling Minecraft accounts.
Now, there is some traffic for the public/classic/ page. Not many, though. But you can view the page for free, unlike you have to pay to play premium. Since you can view the page for free, Mojang loses some profit, which is what I mean by “ripping money apart” and “burning money”.
If Mojang re-adds the link for the public/classic/ page back on the front page, there will be people who haven’t bought Minecraft, and since you can view that page for free, Mojang will lose a lot of profit.
On a side note, I don’t know if I should use “revenue” or “profit”. I chose “profit”.
I can understand if you don't like it, but this dude has had some smart **** troll reply to everything anyones said in favor of classic.
Again, if I was really a troll, I would’ve been banned right now, and if I was really a troll, you would’ve been “feeding it”. So take my advice and ask a mod to lock this so I don’t post anymore. Or just in general, don’t post.
You had to of played classic before all this crap with mojang messsing with it happened to understand and actually care.
I don’t care about it. Especially the multiplayer part. On another Classic-related thread on this subforum, I stated that I hated Classic multiplayer a lot because I wasn’t allowed to grief. Classic singleplayer is a bit more enjoyable since I can grief, but it’s not fun destroying natural terrain. And even blowing it up with TNT isn’t ½ as fun as destroying someone else’s creation.
You just noticed I said this was useless? I said that a long time ago.I bother replying to every single reply for the free posts. Free posts aren’t useless. So, you're wasting your time here, on this 'useless thread' to get free posts? I'm here because I think this is useful, but you have no point here. You don’t seem to understand how not paying for Classic is making Mojang lost profit.Which is a tiny percent of which they make. Also, classic may persuade people to buy Minecraft. I know the demo basically does that, but classic could exist too, the more gametypes, the more the customer is entertained, and resulting in the more likely hood that he'd buy minecraft. Which would cover small fee.
So you have hosted your own website before with millions of people coming online daily and know that is how much profit lost when people access the Classic page?
Also, classic may persuade people to buy Minecraft. I know the demo basically does that, but classic could exist too, the more gametypes, the more the customer is entertained, and resulting in the more likely hood that he'd buy minecraft.
There are still a fraction of people (like kids) who don’t have money to buy Minecraft and just play Classic. They want to play premium, but they can’t.
Again, how do you know the cost? 4is4 said there are thousands of people who still played Classic, so have you hosted a website with thousands of people going on it for free?

However, as stated on the minecraft classic website, classic is NOT what Minecraft is nowadays. I play Minecraft mainly for the fighting and mining, but the classic doesn't have those features. I understand that you said may, but you actually have to watch videos of minecraft or hear it by word-of-mouth to know what it's like. And since most players want to play a demo, that means that the current demo is actually a better example of what the game is like. That's why I believe that only the tiniest percentile of potential players would buy it because of classic, but that's just me. Also, forgive me if I'm wrong, but didn't you have to have premium to host multiplayer in classic? Or is it just my mind messing with me?
(Right now, I'm eh oh both sides, but I think I'm leaning more towards the demo is better than classic side.)

This signature has absolutely no point at all. And then it has a point to inform you that it has no point, but it has no point because it really doesn't have a point, but it has a point because it tells you it has no point... and ah, screw this.
So you have hosted your own website before with millions of people coming online daily and know that is how much profit lost when people access the Classic page?
Millions...? Extremely unlikely. Maybe thousands, but definitely not millions a day. Also, you don't seem to understand how rich Mojang is. Thousands of people daily, is pocket change for them. Also, that little money would remake itself, eh from what I said last time Also, classic may persuade people to buy Minecraft. I know the demo basically does that, but classic could exist too, the more gametypes, the more the customer is entertained, and resulting in the more likely hood that he'd buy minecraft.
Again, how do you know the cost? 4is4 said there are thousands of people who still played Classic, so have you hosted a website with thousands of people going on it for free?
Thousands, more realistic. And that number could cover itself up.
If I keep discussing and keep it civil, I’m allowed to secretly get free posts.
Then you're using your time uselessly, if you don't care about this topic. And why would you even care for your post count?
Millions...? Extremely unlikely. Maybe thousands, but definitely not millions a day. Also, you don't seem to understand how rich Mojang is. Thousands of people daily, is pocket change for them. Also, that little money would remake itself, eh from what I said last time
Nobody understands how rich Mojang is. Unless you secretly work at Mojang and tell us.
We also don’t know how much revenue (or profit, not sure which word to use since I don’t talk about economy often) is lost when traffic comes into that little page. My concern is, Mojang still loses profit. It may be big, it may be small, but revenue is still lost and it’s most likely big, since 4is4 stated thousands still played Classic.
Also, classic may persuade people to buy Minecraft. I know the demo basically does that, but classic could exist too, the more gametypes, the more the customer is entertained, and resulting in the more likely hood that he'd buy minecraft.
The more gametypes, the more likely chance that a customer would like something that you can do for free.
Then you're using your time uselessly, if you don't care about this topic. And why would you even care for your post count?
That’s exactly me saying, “Why would you even care for arguing with me on this thread?”.
I’m not using my time uselessly, I am actually using it. To get free posts. Because I sometimes don’t want to post in the off-topic section and other subforums.
This is also giving me entertainment. Especially when I look back at my work.
