I have been working on a monostable circuit that is the smallest possible design and does not require any redstone torch updates. I have figured a way out finally. It takes 1 redstone torch, 1 redsonte dust, and 1 sticky piston.
If you watched the video, ( it is less than a minute long ) thank you. If you have ideas on how to make it smaller please leave a post or comment on the video.
that redstone torch still requires an update... thats what makes it extend and push the block away... this design (not mine) is (depending on the way you count) either the same size or one shorter, pistonless, able to handle 1 tick pulses, and can be set to output 1 to 4 tick pulses... i may be missing something obvious but i dont see any advantage to that design.
Sorry, I will be eternally hurt by this tragic event
Oh dear. *beats face against the wall*
In order not to get off topic: I like this design, though the one shown by northoftheboarder is (the way I see it) the same size, whilst being more adjustable and using less resources (slime balls are not veeeery survival friendly, even though slimes can now spawn within swamps).
Oooh I have never seen that design before. That is more cost efficient... Oh and by the way its not that the redstone torch turns off it is because the piston gets powered moving the block that is powering it. Hmm Im gonna try to find a way to make this EVEN more compact but idk... thank you guys for the input =D
Thank you Magix =D well my less space efficient form has some very special properties that can be done with it. I am going to start a new thread on the redstone glitch that has this and a few other contraptions of mine. It is a very exciting glitch i have found and i think alot of people will enjoy it.

One thing:
Monostable circuit = Rising edge detector
This = Falling edge detector
Technically, not the same.
Though very interesting
Dude did this really hurt you this much? ._. I just got the concept wrong, can you forgive me now?

Nah we're just having some fun
okay... just please keep it that way... flame wars dont do anybody any good
