Who here hasn't booked their hotel and flight yet?
Not done yet, will probably book on monday with my brother and cousin, we have to confirm everything yet, best place to have cheap hotels because there's so many of them there, will arrive on friday and departing on sunday of the next week, Orlando has so much to offer that we can't simply go there only for the Minecon while Disney World and Universal are there... I suggest having a separate thread for the people that goes to the Minecon.
I do not understand the whole thing with the capes, but I don't really get avatars in general. What do people do who have Minecon tickets for sale? I have two that are not spoken for. (and yes, I did create the account just now to inquire - I'm a dad and not a minecrafter).

I was IN line today. I was in line yesterday. Both times, I basically get "kicked out of line" due to eventbrite's "tickets pending solution". I'm never going to use eventbrite again, nor will I ever recommend anyone use them, for any reason at all. You don't kick waiting customers out of line, ever.
To those that got tickets and will actually attend the event: Have fun!
To those that got tickets and won't attend for whatever reason: ----------Nothing Follows.----------
Woot! I got in this year!
I got 4 tickets for my server team but one of my friends cant make it. Is there any way i can sell a ticket? I heard they are unsalable is this true?...

Helo CraftyValley, I am 23 so I have lived with and seen the Digital product market grow-up as you have I'm sure.
The whole thing with capes is they can only be obtained from Minecon and just like when you were a kid, getting the rarest baseball card, comic book or getting a ball signed by your favorite sports player, (Which you can only get at the game) can be compared to getting a cape from Minecon today. they are actually worth quite a bit; and alias with a cape can be sold to someone for a fancy price depending on the Minecon year it came from. But for your kids, I'm sure its as simple as having the latest and greatest novelty to wear and show off in-game to all their friends.
in either case, going to Minecon should not be about the cape alone. Minecon is an amazing celebration in this new era of video games that Minecraft started 3 years ago. Minecraft is definitely something that will go down in our digital history, so going to Minecon is like partaking in history itself

Minecon tickets from eventbrite are the only ones honored, if you bought a ticket and reserved it in your friend's name, sadly that ticket has gone to waste.
HIGHLY disgusted with eventbrite. I was on the site at 3PM exactly, refreshed once, got in line and got sent to pending. WTF is that. I will never use that site ever again.
I don't think it's really the site's fault, I think it's caused by the large number of people who were also there at the exact time.
I'm curious to see if mojang will give out separate tickets to people going to create booths and panelists.
Y'all love Minecraft a lot! The virtual persona thing is so alien to me. I just think that the 'game' itself is cool. (can't say it's really a game because there's so much you can do)

yea i used eventbright. got 4 tickets at the same time. They are under my name but they are for my friends...except 1 now...
but i dont even know how that would work if you wanted to give the ticket to someone else.

Yea it really isnt a game anymore, its an engine. Infact the server in my signature is an entirely different kind of game built using Minecraft as the engine. It's pretty cool how minecraft has become so much more than a game imo
as for the virtual persona thing, the digital era is bridging the gap between real life and virtual. so someday products in digital world will be no different than products in the real world. they are even working on merging our own lives with a digital world too in virtual reality such as Google glass and the oculus rift. But if you really think about that, its already happened with our cell phones and facebook.

3 Laptops and a tablet going here. Entire family helped out to try and get me, my brother, and mom to go.
Won't say whether or not I got the tickets.
Calm down. It's not like they said "HA HA YOU PATHETIC PEASANTS! I HATH TRIUMPHED AGAINST THEE!"
Hey, what's up? Smiley face
