lol Minecraft blamed for school violence? None of the items the student brought to the school are even in game... Minecraft is one of the most harmless games out there. Pretty weak connection...

Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door is by far the world's best Nintendo game ever made.

Agreed.
Also, der spricht Deutch hier? (I hope I said that right)
First off, I would like to say don't relate all murders with video games if that person has even touched one. If they are screed up in the head, they are screwed up anyways and will do something violent even without a video game. Think about it this way, even if Minecraft was a violent game how would that differentiate from a violent book or movie? Just because the fact that its a video game does not make it "Evil." This kid could of watched a violent movie like saw, or read a scary/murder novel and go inspired by that to o it.
If they were inspired to do a murder, then there is already something not right in their head. They already have the will to do it and will eventually, just because something has inspired him, a book or video game doesn't changed the fact that he had the will to do It, the game or movie that may of gave him an idea how, does not change the fact he has the will to do so in the first place.
Ok now lets look at games specifically, most games have ratings. Its up to the parents to judge if their child is ready to play it or not. Most games are rated M, Meaning Mature. I'm not saying that this means the game will turn the kid into a killing machine, just give them some nightmares.
To get to the point, the vanilla game does not have guns, and if this kid was really inspired by this he would bring a giant blue sword to school, not a gun.
Next time, pick your facts out and do some research. its nice that your his dad told you that is was a game where you only slay zombies, its not.

That is what I thought as I watched the video.

I hate those dragon cave signatures, but my link clicking compulsion makes me click them anyway.
I also hate when people stick half a million spoilers in each other, but my spoiler clicking compulsion makes me click them anyway.

Apparently it was the XBox 360 version, which only comes in vanilla. (at least that's the picture they illustrated the article with)
And yeah, if he was acting out Minecraft, he'd be sitting on top of his house at midnight with a bow and arrow.

Trololol?
Another thing.... let me get this straight. They're blaming Minecraft, SPECIFICALLY for the X360.
You don't think a better choice of game to blame might be, say, Halo? Or Counter-Strike? Or Call of Duty? Or Grand Theft Auto? Or any other of the horde of first person shooter violence-based games?
Seriously, saying that murder stems from minecraft is one of the most stupid things I've ever heard of, especially considering the other potential candidates for violent games to say inspired murderous thoughts...
Anyways, props Bebopvox for another nice MC Monday/Tuesday(?). Always nice to keep updated.

Define Cute (choose 1): A) Creepers Aerbunnies C) Herobrine. If you chose A): You appeal to destruction and to stereotypes. If you chose B): You are a perfectly normal person, and enjoy the Aether Mod. If you chose C): Please leave the planet now before you set off a nuclear warhead--no one enjoys mass murders, however nice they might seem to you.
A curious court case puts Minecraft (briefly) on the stand, a new scanner app, and a brand new recording studio await inside this week's MCMS. Enjoy!
E: Damn YouTube won't let me see the video, it may be my really bad Internet though
E2: Nvm, It loaded. I just need to say that the "Minecraf blamed for violence" part made me facepalm so... HARD!

Oh that? Yes I've read that, but what I'm asking is a brief script about what the video itself is about.
Agreed.
