I haven't seen it, but simply the *thought* of all animated textures cycling through 1 tick per frame makes me nauseous. If you can create a ton of textures and zip them up correctly, I see no reason you can't edit a text file to make them animate better than the default.
I simply had my images done by 2 or 3 frames. Just copypasted. So it would still run like it was set to three or two ticks.
That's because that's how animating textures was done using Optifine.
So, all this is forcing me to do is go and add a bunch of blank .txt files.
I question the practical application of a skeleton riding a pig riding a spider..
Thank you for this. I really really am curious how this affects gameplay or reaches a endgame in any way. It sounds like it's going to be riddled with bugs.

Maybe an enderdragon could be ridden on a saddled pig For us to ride.And with the MC edit filter sethbling made.Maps will be so cool, like in sethbling's video- Riding a bat, a creeper running away,a spider ridding on a fireball.

Because the new riding mechanics surely took Dinnerbone 2 solid weeks to code and pushed back the release of the Mod API for another 3 months. And of course the official developers shouldn't change their game at all because there are people who write mods out there.
Wasn't dinnerbone hired to make the API, since he made the Bukkit API?
either way the API is basically a dream, i'm not sure i'll ever see it surface. it's been like a year or something now.
Fences still aren't working right. Animals can escape them at random intervals Haven't figured out what they are doing to get out but they seem to be glitching though the fences and just walking out... Testing it with sheep on all the fence types, stone, mossy, wood, and nether brick, Fence gates are hard for me to test but they seems to have the least frequency of letting the sheepies out.

Oh stop being so but-hurt over it. Its not like installing a mod is very hard nowadays, the mod API is a luxury and you should be thankful its going to happen at all instead of complaining that its taking time. Mod API isn't easy, and its not #1 on their priority list, new content is because thats what most people want.

Ah yes, instead of a mod api so i can just make my own mod that enables stuff to ride other stuff, they should do it for me.
