I have never really looked through bukkit for anything else besides server plugins, but I've been interested in finding another texture pack for my minecraft recordings. I'll have to go and check out the bukkit ones. Not only would I be getting a texture package, but I could be helping someone get a free Curse Premium account. It's a win, win.

Make it like AdF.ly, "get paid to share your links on the Internet!", but instead "get paid to share your 'hard works' on the Internet!" Then I'll be sure to put all my mods and texture packs in there.
I thought about doing this. But that was a long time ago, when I still used win7 as my main operating system and could easily test it. Now, I use Ubuntu as my main OS, and Curse client is not available for it, despite that Minecraft is. So I won't be uploading my pack to the Curse client until I can actually use it.

It’s the unpleasantness of the system that keeps me out.
I’d rather be in, in a good system. That’s where my discontent comes from:
being forced to choose to stay outside.
My advice: Just keep movin’ straight ahead.
Every now and then you find yourself in a different place."

It's not going to expire. Meet the 1k downloads, keep your creation relatively up to date (we aren't terribly strict on that), and you get the free Premium. It hasn't gone away in three years for our authors for WoW, and we don't plan to stop anytime in the near future.

Should you upload your creations to Bukkit, it will also appear on the Curse.com download page as well, not just the Client.

you get Premium for every 1k downloads, of your work / texture pack, not sure if it's 1k retroactive or not.
