Does anyone have the server .exe file for windows for 1.8? I can't get the .jar file to work for me.

Why is it a .zip and not a .jar?

HEY GUYS!

btw this is a zip folder, you have to get its contents out of the zip folder and into the .jar file

if you use winrar open the .jar and the .zip files and drag all of the zip contents into the .jar

The server.jar file is for multiplayer servers. You don't need that unless you are making a server.

I tried that, but it just gets stuck at downloading when I open Minecraft.

I can't advance or go back in time on creative by pressing F6 and F7 , what happened?

should be as simple as drag and drop and accept all default settings and then close the .jar and play, sorta like installing a mod
