I Heard That The Update Will Be Coming June 23rd Is That True?If U Have The Saving Chunks Error On Your Would Well The Update Help Get My World Back And I Tryied Every Thing There Is To Get My World Back
The new teleporting addition sounds great. Now when I run around and find something cool but am low on supplies I can right it in my book and teleport back if it's really far away or back home if I get lost in an overlapping cave system.
Where in the game, after downloading the snapshot, do I find rubies?
There are no rubies. Follow the updates closely and you'll see that emeralds have been added recently but there are no rubies in Minecraft.------------------------------------------
I hope snapshot b comes out soon because after seeing all these comments about lag and bugs I'm not willing to risk it.

Don't. Jeb and the guys have a lot of fixing to do, but that is why they do release these for us to test for them. I give them a lot of credit for trying to make the game more accessible, but this snapshot just is unplayable. My server went back to last week's snapshot. We've all become good at swapping .jar files so it was no worries, but I would tell people to avoid this one until they fix it. But still kudos to Mojang, I REALLY appreciate how they let us all in on the testing process and value our feedback.
I played over LAN last night, brother was on a computer in the next room.
It had far more perceivable lag (he could see things I could not and vice versa, or he dissapeared or I dissapeared, stuff loading up real slow) than the net server we play on.
LAN is Cat 5e cable straight up (no more than 6m in length). Both computers with Win 7 64-Bit, Core i7 3.2ghz, 8GB ram, .minecraft is also on an SSD.
Please add an engine block already, mine carts and those little wooden boats suck!
I think I may have found a bug just now... I know the "getting experience from furnace" thing is old news, but I just noticed that if you destroy the furnace (mine it), you'll get everything that's in the furnace, but you won't receive any experience. Is that an intended feature? I checked the wiki, but didn't find this "bug" anywhere in the bugs section.
After I downloaded the installer, it installed and downloaded the 1.53 GB or whatever. I then restarted my computer and logged back on. When I ran the game, it popped up like it had before, but with the start game button showing. When I clicked the start game button, a command prompt came up that said it was updating something. Then the game started to open up, like the logo showed up, but it closes and doesn't open the game. The initial installer thing stayed open, though. Anyone else having this happen? If so, how can I fix it?
If you are having any problems with this snapshot I made up a little website that will explain every aspect of the update. Find it here: http://home.yocally.operaunite.com/privatewebsite/content/index.html
you can find my email at the bottom of the page so email me if you need to!

I spotted a problem. As you can see, gravel no longer breaks when a torch is under it. The torch shouldn't be able to have gravity effected entities on it.
EDIT: I was able to break the blocks the next time I tried, however, this torch supports it. Therefore, I don't know if it is connected to the ssp lag or is a glitch.
It has been like this for either a very long time or forever. Sand and Gravel need to fall at least one block before a torch will break them. This isn't a glitch
EDIT: My mistake, this is something new with the snapshots, weather it's a glitch or not I have no idea
A double resolution graphics pack that stays faithful to the originals.

It will be released as 1.3 and I doubt even Notch knows exactly when because there is no guarentee that the snapshot updates will be perfect.

I agree about boats but what is wrong with minecarts?
